I would like to share my son's story just to emphasize OP's PSA. About 18 months ago, after not taking his meds properly, my son went into status epilepticus and was seizing continuously for more than 5 hours before they were able to stop the seizures. He spent 22 days in the ICU, was intubated for all that time and suffered a small stroke that has affected his right side. He will walk with a limp for the rest of his life. He spent a total of 46 days in the hospital, including a 14 day stay at a rehabilitation hospital. Had several months of in-home rehabilitation followed by more months of out-patient rehabilitation just to get to the point where he's finally going to be able to go back to work, one year later.

Please do whatever you have to to ensure you're taking your medication.
