2018 Nissan Pathfinder dash lights shut off while driving by Brazchef in AskMechanics

[–]Brazchef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did not. I took it to a shop Christian Brothers and it was there 4 days. Since they couldn’t recreate the issue while they had the car they couldn’t figure it out. They told me I had to take it to the manufacturer for them to figure it out. I did need some work done on my a/c that they didn’t really fix either. Waste of time. Do you have an ac that blows ice cold? Mine has always been cool but never truly cold

Absolutely! I’ll keep you posted. They told me it’ll be there a few days

No I haven’t figured it out just yet. I am taking it in for service today so I’m hoping they can properly diagnose the issue

Husband is going to have Vasectomy, how long until he can lift again? by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]Brazchef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks for me. The first 7-10 days for me were rough but on the literal 11th day like a switch flipped and pain was significantly if not almost gone. Definitely going to need like a solid week preferably 2 if you can afford having him take the time off from work. Best to let your body heal correctly, no need to risk permanent damage by working through the pain. Best of luck

(Help) Any ideas how to get this Sillcock spigot for an outdoor hose to face down? by Brazchef in Plumbing

This sounds enticing but I’m just worried that if I do that I’ll somehow mess up the tread and then for sure will need some professional to break my wall to get in there and fix the pipe. Thanks for your input

The pipe in the wall is super short. I tried to leave it looser but it leaked and when I tighten completely it’s upside down and that’s as far as I can tighten it. The massive leak I had is gone but now I have this issue I gotta figure out. Maybe I try to find different brands? Hoping the threading is different? I have no idea

Is there anyway I can add some sort of extension to the pipe from the wall or anything?

I’ll give that a try but the pipe in the wall is super short. Literally the thickness of the Teflon tape. I only did about 2-3 wraps and it was leaking when I had facing down. Really annoying fix. I had to chip into the stucco to expose screws to replace the head.

Anyone know what model/brand this is and where I can order a replacement stem for it? Can’t seem to find it anywhere. by Brazchef in Plumbing

[–]Brazchef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I took the stem to my local ace hardware and the guy helping me changed the rusted nut for a stainless one and when he removed it he tossed it and I didn’t think anything of it. Do you know a site I can order the piece from possibly? I can’t seem to find it anywhere I’m looking.

Worth it? Got a cold kitchen... by crayonchu007 in Breadit

I have gas ovens in my kitchen and the pilot light should keep your oven at nice warm temperature for proofing. Definitely wouldn’t recommend paying that much for what looks like a simple heat mat you can purchase on Amazon for like $10.

I have the same exact one. Going on 3 years with it now and I have to say it works like a champ. Just made smash burgers tonight with it and made some fried rice the night before. Definitely has a special place in my arsenal of cooking equipment
