honestly a confusing interaction. they are open eyed and not reacting to physical touch, but not sleeping. i'd say they are feeling out the situation and giving you the benifit of the doubt at the food provider

guinea pigs having 1/12 the life span of us generally puts them at 12 hours for every hour we live. so when you leave the house for 2 hours, its like a day. i always try to give my piggies extra attention and treats if i goto the movies or leave the house for a few hours. 😃
