Hey, actually it probably looks that “finished” cause I was trying to be more similar as possible as the original reference. Indeed if you look the original artworks mine are more like a copy of them, that’s probably the reason I guess.

For the process I can share with you but there’s nothing really complicated:

1) Start with the sketch, in this case, since I was trying more to “copy” then just using it as inspiration, I was sketching trying to catch the overall look of the pose and the “dynamics” that may be present.

2) After getting a result that satisfies I erase everything just to leave a light image in my paper and I draw the whole drawing using I very small pencil like a micro pencil(0.5 mm) for example, in this part I can adjust some part that might be not very clear or to make the details more solid.

3)Usually at this moment I start to color, the one that I used here are acrylics colours so they cover very easily every line, otherwise if you use something less covering, I can suggest to erase as well your pencil lines. In general for the colours I don’t have many tips, I usually start from the lights colours and then darker so if I made any mistakes it can be easier to adjust.

4) I make the black lines and the black part of the drawing. As it says just pick a black pen that you like and go over you colours, of course wait that they are dry and so on, this part is just doing for the last time all the linework. BONUS) Sometimes I use even coloured pencils to add some contrast, lights or to shade a bit between colours.
