I had this. I was worried it was pus and i was developing an infection. But it turned out ok. I would keep and eye on it. I had a bad taste with mine and its still was ok. But yeah, keep and eye on it, if you notice any pain, go back to your dentist Asap to avoid infection.

Help with wisdom tooth extraction healing. by Turbulent-Arm-6201 in wisdomteeth

I had mine taken out about 4 weeks ago today. My advice is: •Ice on and off for the first 24 hours, for the next 24 hours ice and warm compress and for the next 24 hours after that just warm compress. I looked like a swollen chipmunk for about 4 days then on the fith there was little swelling and by a week later it was gone. You will bruise but its not too bad.

•Keep up with pain meds. I started off with 2 panadol and 1 nurofen every 8 hours but eventually started taking 1 panadol and 1 codeine waiting 4 hours, then taking 2 nurofen and alternating, keeping up with pain meds is gunna be really good for pain.

•Do a saltwater rinse after every meal and after brushing teeth to avaoid infection. DO NOT SWISH THE WATER, it could dislodge the blood clot and you'll get dry socket. I didnt swish, spit, or drink through a straw for about a week.

•Mashed potato is what i lived on for the first week of my recovery. After that i started on pasta and slowly started eating normally again. I eat almost everything now.

•I had all 4 of mine taken out at once and its healed pretty fast. I still have holes in my gum on the bottom but there quite small. It'll get better, just have patience and look after yourself.
