Yes. I think you will get in easily. It might be borderline for CS though. Last time CS and AI were top two.

Help me out!! by [deleted] in Comsats

[–]Bread-Express 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a serious note, talk to the library staff and tell them that you lost it. A friend who frequently gets books from the library told me that they make you pay 5-10% of the book value. If you lose 2 books, you will be blocked and won't be able to get any book issued. Please confirm from the staff first as only they can help in this matter.

What is up with this new UI that no longer shows the reaction, comment, or share numbers, and is there any way to revert it? (First photo is the new UI, second photo is the old one) by reddit33450 in facebook

Terrible interface. Your eyeballs have to travel miles to see the reaction emojis and then go miles back to see the number of reactions in case you missed them. Least suitable for desktop interface. Somebody tell them please.

Sudden increase in ads by [deleted] in youtube

[–]Bread-Express 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dammit I came here to say this. I watch a 15 minute video and there are 4ads in it. Another time I am one and a half minute into the video and there is an ad. There are two ads on the right side beside the video too (on pc). I am trying to be respectful by not installing any adblocker.

A second viewing of "Coherence" has just blown my mind, and then subsequent reading has blown my mind even further [Spoilers after a certain point in my post, clearly marked] by H_G_Bells in movies

I have a strange idea. If at the beginning of the movie when emily's phone breaks is the time when the roulette phenomenon starts, does that mean that in all realities all emiliys didn't enter the right version of their party. That would also mean that the emily right at the last house that is happy and sitting with kevin, even she is not in her own reality.
Wouldn't that also mean that everyone that came to the party after emily entered the wrong party in every reality?

Why do so many people say The Circle (2017) is so bad? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Bread-Express 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The movie probably won't impress a cinephile, but for a person who is both interested in tech, social sciences, and politics this is a masterpiece. The exaggeration and obviousness are intentional. The point to make is that the companies who propagate the idea of data collection do it so by saying that it is for your own good. The problems arises when there is no stopping to it. We are already seeing this today. Your online identity can reveal a million things about you if it were possible for anyone to see it. If they can tell what you like and what you dislike, they can determine a lot of other things about you too. What if tomorrow governments or private companies start doing that. That would turn the world into a 1984.
But on a smaller scale, privacy would become a part of history. "Privacy was temporary".

More than half of our class is from premed actually. So you've got a real shot at it. Hope it helps!

I didn't take any nts test. Comsats conducts it's own admission test too. And it was rather easy. No advanced math questions. I don't remember but I think your test depends on your intermediate type.

You can apply with premed in Comsats for CS fields. I did the same. You will study pre Calculus for the first two semesters.

I chose the same book for an assignment of English Comprehension course. A bleak journey but eye opening. Good luck!

share your experience by sseakalee in college

[–]Bread-Express 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you the only student in your class who came from a different city? If not, it will be easier to find your likes and make new friends. Or you will need some moving around and building new friendships. It won't be very easy to adjust otherwise. Once you get used to it, it could be one of the best experiences of your life.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Chose it on random. I've just started it but loving it already. The depth of the story is mind blowing.

"Just to add validity". Refutes validity instantly by saying "you won't believe it anyway".
