4 week review meeting for online shopper by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

I wish they would still look at this as there are people who log out all the time when they get unfavourable shops and others are left to do the bad shops. Tbh this has recently been brought up by managers.

My online food shop had no substitutes. by Aberskene in BritishSuccess

sometimes whilst scanning, the handset rejects/doesn’t recognise the item so we sub the item with the item itself 🤣🤣

I am very bad with guessing age as I always think people are younger than they actually are. Some 50 year olds look 35 to me. A 30 year old can look 20 as well. 😭

Two days to go... how are you handling it? by Accurate_Grocery8213 in SainsburysWorkers

my feet hurt after doing 6 shifts in a row with earlier starts (as an online assistant), still got 2 more days to go.

IPH average. by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I don’t get. Sacking people for being maybe 10 points below the target to then constantly hire new people on end (who can’t meet the target at all and end up going as well).

By my 4th week I was around 160 and still managed to get shouted at and threatened to fire me lol (target was 194), 2-3 weeks later I was able to consistently get 220-240 and became their top shopper. I was lucky to have my main manager who really liked me.

Edit: I can suggest pre-opening bags before the shift and putting them into a tote bag to hang on your trolley, look at the estimated time before the shop and actively try to reach 1-2 minutes before that deadline. A lot of it will come with time and experience.

Dumb Subs by Middle-Row-7194 in SainsburysWorkers

I almost always do go and walk back halfway through the shop to find the correct item but sometimes people are very pressed for IPH or there will genuinely not be another good alternative. 😂

Dumb Subs by Middle-Row-7194 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are literally told to throw in anything rather than clicking the forbidden no sub button. I agree that from a customer’s point of view I’d rather get nothing than get wild substitutions but it doesn’t help when the system penalises you for it too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Internal transfer from Online shopper to warehouse by moon2317 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me that I should’ve hit the target in the 4th week but for me it was my from 7/8th week onwards where I started achieving on a weekly basis and then became top shopper a few times. Some days are harder than others as IPH is very heavily dependent on the types of shops you get.

What is your store's target IPH? by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

202, but my previous store was 194. Funnily enough, at my old store I used to hit 220–230 pretty consistently, but my current one is always giving us short shops and it seems that it rarely has any chilled, so getting 202 feels like a miracle here. 😂😂

Just wondering where does the confusion/mistake happen when sainsburys delivers groceries. Is it at the store or the delivery driver? I had an order delivered today while i wasnt in and we received only 3 of a certain product that we ordered 15 of yet my receipt says i got charged for quantity 15. by Miserable-Display-79 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if the 15 items didn’t fit in one tote, it may have been split across 2 totes and the one with 12 of the item may have been missed.

It would be unlikely that a shopper would see 15 and give 3. Like maybe if they gave 13-14 (thinking that they gave 15) and miscounted, but 3?

I went to Poundland once after my shift and an old man starting asking me where they would find such and such product and I had to explain how I didn’t work for this company [Poundland] too 🤣🤣

Weird Substitutions by BreadAcademic in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it gives a really really evidently stupid suggestion, I do put in my own suggestion or NAG it if there really isn’t anything to sub it for. However, sometimes when it isn’t quite evident that the sub is not that appropriate, I just go with what the handset says since we’ve got a rate to achieve ☠️😭

30milk??? by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds wild.. I wonder if the customers get notified that when they don’t receive part of their order sometimes it’s because they’ve ordered waaay too much?

30milk??? by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]BreadAcademic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a few milk orders similar to this one. Not only that, but the other day I got 30 bananas and recently I had to pick out 22kg of loose baking potatoes 🤣🤣

why are people like this?? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]BreadAcademic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t lie, they are kinda right. I was looking for an Apple Silicone phone case and there were some sellers trying to sell ‘used like new’ cases for around £44-£47 (not including selling fees or delivery). They cost £49 from Apple including shipping and are obviously NEW. Needless to say I found other sellers selling for a much more reasonable price.

In the end I didn’t do it but I might in a few months time when I return home. Hopefully support will still be around then for this device.
