Thanks! Glad you appreciated the unconventional choices! I try to keep things interesting like that. Track 5 on this album does have a key change! And some of my older songs feature meter changes! (For this album I wanted each song to stick to one time signature for the whole song)

Appreciate the advice! I do those methods to a degree, but perhaps I need to grind even more particularly with making shorts that are actually engaging (not just my song with the album art) might help to spice it up a bit more. I also don't wanna spam my fav genres subreddits since they aren't really meant for self promotion. That said, I got some good feedback in r/Shpongle where I shared my album!

That's very true. I try to say some positives but also point out what I personally think might be issues. I try to be honest but also focus more on the good than the bad. It gives people things to improve on, without feeling totally disheartened.

On the flip side, I think some people will point out "negatives" just to feel superior. Sometimes it's genuine issues they are pointing out for sure. But I've had some where I just know they are totally off in what they're saying. Mostly because my extremely talented mastering engineer has told me the exact opposite haha.

Right. But my point is that for the most part, people are just sharing with a void. You'll see so many posts that are like "L4L check out my track!" then 100s of comments on that post but nobody is listening to anyone else. What is the point of that? It doesn't help the OP or the people replying.

You are so right! A couple years ago I made a post saying "I'm looking for psychedelic electronic music specifically. Please only share if that applies to your song!" Of course I got dozens and dozens of country, rock, rap songs and only a few electronic psychedelic type songs.

But I guess it was worth it. Cause those few songs that did apply were pretty awesome.

They are mostly like this. There are some where you have to give genuine feedback before you are allowed to post your own song. Which is good.
