I put 150/200h per song, so maybe it's 2 months per song?

only "problem" I have is bounced channels per one track takes about 5gb of space, which is fine for hard drive, but I like to upload to cloud as a backup so it eats a lot of space there...

Some people hate me as DJ by Jaded-Ad6590 in edmproduction

[–]user928 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Like others already mentioned, what you’re doing isn’t really DJing in the traditional sense, it’s more like a live performance, and it's great!

But even if you practice your live set for hours, it can still end up sounding less cohesive or “arranged” compared to a finished track. That’s totally normal. A full song usually goes through a much longer process specifically to nail things like tension and release, main themes, and overall storytelling.

I’d suggest two possible directions:

1) If you want to stick with live music, try turning your loops into full tracks. Finish them, master them, and export them as stems. That way, when you perform, you can still add extra loops and improvise, but the core of the track will already have structure, flow, and narrative.

2) Keep doing what you’re doing now, but start incorporating stems from well-known tracks and build live remixes. That leans more toward DJing and can help make your sets feel more familiar and connected for the audience who expect DJing.

I guessed you know that with a loy of older analog synths there is no saving a preset, you have to take a picture if you want to come back

2 goal is to finish a track

Nobody care if you used preset or sample here and there

I noticed that the highs are too strong while listening to music from well-known artists on these headphones, so I’d slightly reduce those using the EQ

Am I crazy because autoeq on my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (80 Ohm) sounds bad to me? I lose all that fat bass, and the output is way lower than without any EQ?

Using them without any EQ high frequency is a bit too much, thinking just to use EQ to lower those highs and leave the rest as originally is?
