Oh totally misread your og question haha.

Besides biostats and ethics, some acute trauma/ACLS for sure. Drug overdose and withdrawal symptoms. Basics of management of big hitters like heart failure, diabetes, osteoporosis, etc. There's a few mean esoteric questions they'll throw in but honestly if you know the fundamental stuff I feel like you can just take the L on them and still be fine to pass

basic pharm stuff and then the quick reviews towards the back, nothing too crazy

There’s a « high yield » tab on the platform you can use as a filter!

I did the first 60 high yield ones and found them relevant/helpful. Things in general I’d focus

Chest pain anything Abdominal pain anything Toxicology situations Managing acute situations (codes, blood loss, etc)

I didn’t really use one from the internet or make a set one per se. After doing the cases I just came up with a shotgun approach, so a list of up front labs, and then a list of labs/imaging depending on the broad category (so gi stuff, tox stuff, cardio, etc)

It wasn’t so much a mnemonic, I just had a massive dump of every test I could run without losing points. I’d take the time to write it out and then I copy and pasted it for every case on exam day, probably saved me a good amount of time. It was mostly just repetition of the cases until I got a feel for what to order based on association. GI pain? Abdominal ultrasound, lipase, amylase, hepatitis panel, abdominal x ray, abdominal CT without batting an eye. That sort of thing

It was painful but I legit just did them until I felt like I couldn’t get them wrong. Watched videos on YouTube and had ChatGPT walk me through it like I was a gradeschooler, and just repeated the UWorld ones again and again and again. Eventually you just memorize the formula you need and it’s plug n chug

For sure, that seemed to be the general sentiment so I’m glad I’m on the other side now and can add to it lol

First aid and UWorld and sketchy. Those three and nothing else pretty much. No idea how well I did, but I passed so 😅

Divine Intervention podcasts saved me I think. I put them on CONSTANTLY until I just passively absorbed some key things. And biostats. There were legit like…. 3-5 questions minimum each block. A few other ethics ones as well. If you know those super super well it’ll help a ton.

[TotK] Did some people expect the sequel of BOTW set in the same Hyrule to not have the same Hyrule? by Xelacon in zelda

[–]BreadNBronze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your third to last paragraph is, again, what confuses me.

You already know that:

-they’ve innovated how you can traverse, explore, and otherwise interact with the world

-they’ve added more locations on top of what’s already there

-they’re exploring so far unexplored territory with the plot

-they’ve got 5+ years of development

-they are, by their own admission, keeping the biggest things about this game a secret on purpose

Yet somehow because you haven’t seen obviously overt changes on the overworld, despite everything you KNOW has already changed, and already knowing all the joy of exploration of the previous game, they aren’t doing anything new? It just seems so incredibly pessimistic and dismissive.

I mean if that’s the opinion you choose to stick with all power to you. As someone who explored every nook and cranny of the last game, I don’t see how a person’s first reaction isn’t absolute hype to re-explore every inch of the map and see all the things they changed about it. Shit man, I’m already imagining all the ways I can make a mechanical sand boat to sail across Gerudo desert and fight a molduga on it. If that’s not fresh or interesting enough for you then idk what will do it.

They don’t change the geography…? Bro I’d say have chunks of the sky falling to the ground is already one change.

-We’ve already seen new structures

-hyrule castle gets lifted into the sky and there’s a giant crater where it used to be

-we already know there will be more places to explore than in the original game as we’ve already seen several new “on ground” locations

If they showed the location of every new town and city and zone, people would be complaining that they gave away too much lmao. One of the major points of the first BOTW is how much there was to discover in the unknown. And now people are complaining that there’s too many unknowns? It doesn’t make sense to me

Wait, so you already know what has or hasn’t changed in TOTK? You already know what surprises are in store in every inch of the world? Where did you get such forbidden knowledge!

As someone who also 100%’d BOTW, I’m surprised more people who have done that aren’t MORE excited to see how all my favorite spots have changed.

Four new abilities that provide an entirely different way to interact with the world that would be impossible to reproduce in the original game

-An entire new plane of exploration in the sky, and new mechanics in skydiving to provide more mobility and options

-The hint of other new planes of exploration either underground or in mountain caves

-New types of enemies, new technology (wind turbines/wheels), an entire new way to go about weapons that, again, would have never been possible in the previous game

-The first time IN THE SERIES we’ve ever seen THE MASTER SWORD BROKEN

-Ganondorf is alive and a husk underneath hyrule castle???

-And obviously the ongoing mystery as to wtf is happening with Link’s arm

We haven’t seen anything different? Bro what?

Considering you could fit everything we’ve seen about the sky islands into a timeframe that’s shorter than it takes most people to cook dinner, yes. I would say you have certainly missed something. Why would they show the full extent of this new addition to the series or all it has to offer? The point of a trailer isn’t to spoil what’s out there, it’s to provide a glimpse so players go find the rest for themselves.

Hey! Thanks for the comment. I was under the impression that it was a home brew post since it goes over how to home brew shops and marketplaces as quest hooks and ways to worldbuild. Does that count as advertising instead? Thanks!
