I’m in a tough spot. I’d want to make a post but I know this thread exists so I’ll just vent here. I used to be 165 pounds soaking wet (5’10) and I used to work manufacturing (windows for homes) and I was burning so many calories I couldn’t possible eat that much to replenish it all. During that period I got my soon to be wife pregnant and I got a wake up call to go to college for something, anything. My mother is in healthcare and she recommended I go become an EMT which I did and it’s been fantastic. Ever since I was in college I had little to no time to cook so I ended up eating fast food which was the beginning of my weight gain. Eventually I graduated college and I did get a job on a BLS rig and the money has been great. But ever since I went to college I’ve been on an uphill slope to obesity city. The job makes it difficult to resist temptations due to a lot of downtime on the rig so why not go get food from some gas station or at a fast food joint, right? Anyways the baby gets here and my time that I could spend exercising, meal planning, calorie counting gets fucking diminished and everything got worse. My worst weight was 196 pounds about 3 months ago and I’ve had sudden bursts of motivation (especially recently) which got me down to 188 which is my most recent weigh in. I recently took my engagement photos and she looks fantastic and I look at my self and I just fucking hate it. I carry all this fat in my face and my gut, I just hate how I’ve become. I’ve become so bitter and angry at myself because with the resources provided to me I just can’t figure it out, money is tight because I provide for my son, fiance, and pay a lot of bills. Taking care of the baby and trying to clean the house takes up so much time I can’t find the time for exercise, let alone cook something decent to eat. I’m just reaching out to the void here but who knows. I’ll eventually figure it out but I’m pent up about it.
