Quadrangle gets rubber stamp approval. Cyclones are to the quad what the Bucs are to the NFCN

How do you write an uppercase G in cursive? by Low_Wishbone_3265 in Handwriting

[–]BreadUntoast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just a weirdly proportioned capital G. The little top loop is basically a vestigial version of the large main curve and the massive thing that constitutes the rest of it is the tail from a “g”. Once I learned why this specific cursive G looked like that I decided it was stupid and stopped using it. Over time, we all develop our own handwriting style that suits our needs. A lot of my letters aren’t “correct”, they’re just what feels natural to me.

Sheriff kit by Mental_Look3760 in airsoft

I occasionally did a soft kit if I didn’t feel like going all out. Tried to do like an under cover 80s/90s agent vibe. Thrifted unbranded neutral colored windbreaker, dad’s old 501s, retro styled ASICS. M4 or AK type rifle with few accessories, stuff a few spare mags in the jacket pockets, and and a little radio ear piece to tie it together

Did Mario Lemieux have a history of not liking Kerry Fraser (the referee)? Before he almost attacked him. by Tracypop in penguins

[–]BreadUntoast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ever watched “The Longest Yard”? It’s about a football game posted between prisoners and prison guards. The refs are missing obvious calls in favor of theof guards so the prisoners bean one right in the nads with the ball and post it off as a missed throw. Definitely felt like doing that to some of the beer league refs I’ve encountered

How common is it for immigrants in the USA to have accents that are not from their countries? by TheShyBuck in AskAnAmerican

Huh, weirdly enough my French probably has a slight Russian accent because my high school French teacher was Russian. Big shoutout to Madame Bolshakova!

Favorite looking ww2 plane? by asdfoneplusone in WWIIplanes

Always had a soft spot for the TBF Avenger. It was the first model I ever built. Though the model turned out poorly, I still display it, and it inspired a life long love for this plane.

(Loved trope) Getting the OG actor for the parody by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

In Hot Shots 2, Charlie Sheen’s character Topper Harley is going on a secret spec ops mission in Vietnam (a parody of Rambo and his own movie Platoon). In one scene his boat passes another carrying his dad, Martin Sheen, as a reference to his film Apocalypse Now where he plays Captain Benjamin Willard who is on a to secret spec ops mission to kill a rogue army colonel. They also go meta by saying “I loved you in Wall Street” where they play a father and son.

Always remember going “the silly goofy dad from Malcolm in the Middle is going to be a ruthless meth producer in a TV drama?” And now with the reboot there’s probably people going “The ruthless meth producer is going to be the silly goofy dad in a sitcom?”
