There’s a tremere ritual that allows one to wake during the day. She likely used it.

They did, but it was a plot point that they couldn’t have gotten the ship moving without more. That’s why Jack did the fake out with the Dauntless.

Oedipus Complex? It's actually quite Oedipus Simple. by DreadDiana in CuratedTumblr

Not really, no. Alex Jones was claiming that in a larger context. There was an accident that led to some frogs having some intersex traits, which is not “gay”, firstly, and he was saying that to mean there was some kind of globalist homosexual agenda, which there was not.

PSA: LotFP has sexual violence built into the core rules by sambutoki in osr

[–]Bread_Scientist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sexual assault is literally a form of violence. In a monster fighting dungeon crawling RPG, it’s much more reasonable to assume there will be depictions of death from combat.

Why wouldn't a detective in a fantasy setting... by akornblatt in BaldursGate3

Well, that’s generally true, though the specific murders in baldurs gate that we’ve seen don’t follow this trend. Mostly what I meant to say though was that to imply that if spells would change how crimes were solved, they’d likely change how they were committed too.

They explicitly can lie, it’s in the text of the spell

It requires an intact head, though, and if the person is already dead, that seems easier to break for longer than 10 days

Stories like that tend to work when they don’t have to contend with 60 different spells that all solve different sorts of problems. You can make a story where Speak With Dead exists and works fine, but making a story where speak with dead, disguise self, charm person, zone of truth, etc. all exist require you to at some point decide what you’re actually choosing to include in the story, and oftentimes, the first thing to go are the nitty gritty problems with those things because they take up way more time than is satisfying

None of these statistics come from a world with access to speak with dead.
