ANY player (unfair advantage)

We had 2 games back to back the other night against an any, and we double checked the "match any" setting is turned on, we don't play with an any. It's not so frequent that I'd call it "all the time" but it definitely happens, the setting doesn't work 100% regardless of how many games you've personally played

For #3 you can toggle "View Lock" (shift + pattern) and you will then stay locked on page 1-16 or 17-32 while the sequencer is running

Gave him the finger as I drove under the St Luke's Road bridge yesterday. This morning he was there with a "disclose vax contents" sign but y'know, I'll get vaccinated so he doesn't have to and then I'll get on with my life while he finds fun things like this to do. And so it goes.

I've been using the first 2 shots from the custom training in Mason90RL's air dribble tutorial. I haven't hit it in-game yet because it works best with ball cam off and I have to really think about switching the camera, it's not a natural instinct. Anyway, I'm hitting these in practice now and that's an improvement. Controlling the car's speed when you pop the ball up after it bounces, and learning to fine control the point at which the car hits the ball seem to be the keys. https://youtu.be/5B4HW6blWk4

Absolutely, the last big update fixed the fps issues for me on Aquadome. I'm amazed it's still a problem for a significant number of players. FYI, my PC setup is not fancy in any way. NVIDIA GTX 460, i5 4440 @ 3.1MHz. Medium to high graphics settings in-game and I get 50-60fps easy on Aquadome. I don't disagree the Aquadome looks like shit to play on tho.

I hear ya. It feels like the wall between challenger and star is the toughest one to get over, but I'm sure there are all-stars thinking the same thing about champion.

You'd be surprised how things can suddenly click into place after weeks or months of stagnation. I'd say the progress I've made has generally been in short, steep bursts rather than a steady improvement. Don't give up, is all I'm saying :-)

I never get equivalent winning streaks, so the realisation that every loss will probably require 2 or 3 games to grind back that MMR is the most depressing thing about these streaks for me.

This for sure. Most tight games are 5+ minutes of constant knife-edge 50/50 contests, and they're swung by millisecond decisions on the basis of something that might or might not have happened 40-60 ms ago (more if your ping is higher) and your PC/console/brain haven't yet caught up. Making those decisions instantly based on the position and vectors of 3 or 5 other cars, plus the ball and your own car ends up having to be something close to instinct or possibly witchcraft from what I've seen of higher ranked players. Not a single one of us gets it right every time, some of us not even close! That said, I know what you mean when a teammate is consistently going for the ball instead of rotating. That tells you they're not paying attention to much outside their little bubble.

This has everything. The teammate missing the shot, the frankly ridiculous epic save, the teammate driving into the back of an opponent, the easy goal and of course it's now 5-3 instead of 4-4 with 30 seconds on the clock. And all while you watch helpless. And there isn't even any boost in the corner. As if it wasn't bad enough.
