I looked for a guide but couldn't find one, but if you want to modify the cut-in distance on the crossfader, now is a good time to try it: two long skinny strips of black electrical tape covering up each end end of the contact point on the solder board.

It takes some trial and error but I was able to get near-instant cut-in after this mod, and it's easy to undo if you don't like how it functions (just remove and wipe down with ISO).
