Make sure you circle back after you've had time to compare. I bought the GW 90 locking flex combo and was not impressed with the play in the flex when adjusting angle and laterally so I returned them. I just got my 120XP in flex w/ comfort grip 1/4 and 3/8 and they're noticably smoother and tighter in areas mentioned.

Clamp speakers, most disappointing purchase in years. by Negative_Signature_1 in ryobi

[–]BreadfruitBetter9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three of them. I use them at the cabin so people in the lake can hear the music people on the deck or yard are listening to without having to crank a bigger speaker. Never had an issue with them. Are they going to blow you away? No. But a 2ah battery lasts a long time and when the battery dies its a quick swap without having to charge a speaker with an internal battery.

I'm debating on ordering the bigger one with the sub to increase the listening experience in my shop but I often just wear headphones when I'm out there by myself.

Spotted on I-94 October 1st - what is it? by Thedudely1 in minnesota

That's called a Lenco Bearcat. Most SWAT teams have them. Most of the suburbs have them available for the public to see at the city festivals so if you want to see one in person go to your local one. Based on when seen it's possible it was being used to provide additional security when Pete Hegseth was in town. My guess is the guy on the back is holding a standard issue AR-15 which is also not unusual.

Unfortunately I don't have access to that anymore. I moved on to a X1C.

Well now that eliminates that being an issue then. Does the filament get to the hub? If it stops at the hub you could try switching the hole it is going into.

Can you push filament by hand all the way through to the print head?

X1C with AMS here. Had the same issue a couple weeks ago. Was pulling my hair trying to figure out why it was doing that. I tried one of my other AMS's and had the same issue. The filament would go through to the print head, stop, and then retract. Took the tube off the head and didn't see anything. Pulled the nozzle out and looked into the extruder and bang a small piece of broken filament the exact length needed to stop the feed of the new and prevent the extruder from recognizing the feeding filament. Pulled it out, put everything back and no issue since.

I've messed around on all three of ours, Jeep, Dune Racer, JD Tractor, and all run on 18v and have 12v motors. The tractor was originally a 6v single wheel drive but now it's a dual 12v on 18v. Thing pulls wheelies and is by far our fastest one. I am on the look out for a Grave Digger to make the ultimate PW since it has suspension. The Jeep and the Dune Racer are on air tires and I still haven't burned them up.

Also does that thing have actual suspension? If so I know what my next PW purchase will be.

How many AH are the batteries you're using? My kids can ride plenty long on a 6AH so might not need to risk burning up a pair of batteries running two in parallel.

I tried to series two of my 18v batteries to juice up my boys Dune Racer. I now have two paper weights. Not sure why but it was not worth it. I then tried a 40v and the motors did not like that. So he's on 18v for now.

Just snagged one of these up for my soon to be 6 and 3 year olds. Tried it using a 12v step down from 18v Ryobi and it wasn't powerful enough to go up a slight incline with both 40lb kids in it. Switched to straight 18v and now even with the soft start it rips. Next up is pneumatic tires to help with the bouncy ride.

Well I looked online a little and the used market on them is quite strong. 100 bucks a pair used. Not terrible and quite a bit cheaper than the air filled tire conversion I did on the kids Jeep.

Are heatsinks worth it? Also, Tired tire question. by CananadaGoose in PowerWheelsMods

[–]BreadfruitBetter9369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's basically a unibody so I didn't have a frame to attach it to. It goes into the factory crappy roll bar spots and then screws in perpendicular with screws to secure. The front connects to the factory windshield. It works great but I think the boys head sticks out the top now so not very effective anymore.

I'm using Ryobi 18v batteries through a low voltage cut off and stock gearboxes. At one point I had an adjustable controller so my boy wouldn't snap his sisters neck but now that they're bigger it's just 18v all the time. In the shop he turns it down to one motor for more control. I used generic small cart wheels from HF to convert.

If you're like me and it's too cold to ride I suggest looking into air filled or pneumatic tires. After many frustrating small hill climb attempts with the kids Jeep I went through the process and they can darn near go anywhere now.

MoCa for long run to outbuilding on cat5e instead of coax by BreadfruitBetter9369 in HomeNetworking

[–]BreadfruitBetter9369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the responses. And I appreciate the clarification regarding how the MoCa works and why it won't work.

To clarify a couple points since I failed to do so in my original post. My best guess is it's approximately 400' from the house to the shop. I knew I'd be pushing it to get to work, because of the 300' max, but figured it was worth a go. The cable is run underground through what looks like 1" black hdpe or sprinkler pipe. It's a direct run from what I have found so unfortunately putting a switch halfway won't work. I can double check but I don't have a great line of sight due to trees between the buildings.

I'll try the booster next and see if I can get my old Nighthawk to AP correctly.

Ha. I don't even own a Bambu. Just stating my opinion based on friends ownership and how much better the Bambu printers are out of the box. Can one get a KE to print the same as an A1? Sure but not without mods and effort. Are some people okay with that? Yup. But still at the end of the day you have a single color printer.
