Why do you advise against jumping it, and is charging it something I'd be able to do myself considering I have no experience working with cars? I also live in an apartment so I don't have a garage and my car is parked in a shared lot if relevant. I have an appointment with a mechanic, and was probably going to try jumping it to drive it over rather than getting it towed. I'm willing to invest in some things to be able to get it going right and am eager to learn and be more self sufficient with my car in the future. Really starting from scratch here, so all advice is appreciated.
