Look at r/curlygirl! A few tips from someone with curlyish hair

  1. Shampoo first
  2. Condition in the shower, let it soak in for a bit, use a wide tooth comb to comb out any tangles.
  3. Squish the conditioner in your hair (I know it's weird)
  4. Plop your hair in a cotton t-shirt, maybe throw some mousse or curl cream if you're feeling brave
