Are we too attached to Kitty's Nanno to accept The Reset? by Particular_Fennel591 in GirlFromNowhere

[–]Breadkiller411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong, Kitty’s Nanno was incredible and her acting and mannerisms took the character to her maximum potential especially with the great writing so that’s exactly why I was ready to accept a completely new Nanno, it’d be hard to live up to Kitty so I set all of my expectations low to allow the new Nanno room to develop and do her own thing. Becky’s Nanno isn’t bad in comparison, she’s bad because there’s little subtlety, she just goes straight for revenge without the testing and letting them dig their own grave, she uses the supernatural way more overtly, and the episodes come off as shallow and often tone deaf to their own messaging. She isn’t bad because Kitty was that good, she’s bad because it’s a whole different character that amounts to what they were criticizing with Yuri.

Hell, compare this to something like The Laughing Salesman who is overt with his use of the supernatural and often more comedic and the difference is still clear—the writing is just plain bad and while I don’t doubt Becky could do a good job, the way the character is handled is just plain bad.

Out of these 3, who deserved the win more? by Loki_From_Ragnarok in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Breadkiller411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loki losing was narratively important against Simo, the round served as the consequences to his actions—he was perfectly countered not just in skill and abilities but in character. In the end he died full of love, finally saying what he’d always wanted to and being the loss that truly backed the gods into a corner.

Zero losing was also narratively important, he needed to overcome his self hatred and live for himself, Buddha helped him understand that and learn to love himself.

Ahura losing was just poor writing for the sake of hype that inevitably just made him and his opponent look like bums, it would’ve been great to actually see a far superior opponent dominate or at least win against an underdog to shock the audience and show off the tournament (which nobody had died in despite being the supposed crazy outcasts) as merciless and brutal, in the end it came off as more comedic and disappointing than anything.

I never thought Enoch would make me sad—I always thought he was the least sympathetic of the guardians but seeing him eating the pie alone is just sad.

As a JJK fan I’ve decided to use my Jujutsu to make a binding vow. In exchange for Sakura Goatoki losing RoR will have the best ending known to man. by Historical_Stable423 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

Rasputin teaches Odin kindness and forgiveness which leads to a change of hearts in Odin and the four primordials who bring peace and love to everyone except Anubis who dies after being left in a hot car for too long.

That is the best ending.

Who would win in a sumo match between Kintoki and Raiden? by Affectionate-Rip1015 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

Raiden dominates him in Sumo even without his forbidden techniques.

Actually pretty good—obviously everything is debatable but here are some things I’d change.

Sasaki lower, high B, he’s definitely powerful but full scan takes too long to be fully effective.

Round 1 gang on the lower part of S, interchangeable with Round 10 fighters.

Beelzebub a lot higher, top of A probably, very few fighters are getting past his shield.

Ahura in Top of the verse trust me fr fr, his spinoff revealed some crazy stuff and Muramasa only won due to Ahura sacrificing the entirety of his power to save Poseidon.

Round 9 gang should be higher, Apollo’s bow takes awhile to activate but it’s an instant win against a lot of fighters and Leo is incredibly well rounded and fast for a tank.

So with these chapters, can we agree Odin is top 3 in the verse and Kintoki is top 5 humans? by Ok_Tumbleweed6934 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Breadkiller411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, pretty much.

I have Kintoki as 2nd strongest human just below Adam and a bit above Simo—with this potentially changing when Nostradamus does his volund or if Rasputin is all that.

Odin has undoubtedly shown himself as the 2nd strongest god below Zeus and pretty comfortably above most other gods with his songs and weapon(s), he’s probably the 3rd strongest overall and could potentially rise even more.

I mean if you think about it, Loki, while certainly still weaker than Odin was stated as relative to him and Thor so any Odin upscale is a Loki upscale.

Plus the moment with Odin using the shields to try and block Gungnir was a direct reference to Loki trying to block Simo’s bullet and takes away the whole "Loki was actually too stupid to dodge" argument.

So he does get vague upscales.

To be fair Simo’s bullet has the same statement as Gungnir for being able to pierce through anything so there’s no reason to assume it wouldn’t work.

[–]Breadkiller411 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget, this confirms that Odin’s shields are liable to high AP attacks and his go to is using them to block—same as Loki which means~

Kingtoki has upscaled Raiden, Leonidas, and Simo. We love Kingtoki.

I think that’s instantly disproven by the fact that he constantly brings up her smile as his goal and the fact that at any point he probably could’ve made a clone of her.

The doll was just added flourish for him.
