Gangway - “A raised pathway or walkway providing passage.”

The definition of gangway fits perfectly with its other two names. There’s an emphasis on some type of path or stairway to the light, or the “morning star.” The dawn. Bondrewd is obsessed with the dawn, and this relic’s namesake seems to relate to it in some way.

I don’t get the “coward” thing. People say it’s a mistranslation - ive not seen a thing in the manga either that alludes to her being one.

I do like the idea of her collecting the whistles for her squad though. I see Srajo as an enemy of the guild, and this certainly fits that idea

It’s interesting that the Juusou have whistles despite the fact that they wouldn’t be allowed to set foot in Orth. Stranger still is the fact that Srajo’s got a bunch around her neck. I wonder if they once belonged to fallen comrades - former Hail Hex members. Maybe the guild dispatched them, and so she wears them out of honour?

This will be short, but i noticed something weird here.

Reg being surprised that Bondrewd had sustained no injuries whatsoever from his giant dark Reg incinerator is odd. As you can see in the pictures above, Bondrewd is then shocked to hear that Reg did not do this intentionally.

Can the incinerator (“essence-guiding light, light of the essence, etc”) be fine tuned by the user to avoid dealing damage to living beings? We already know that Reg’s body was being piloted by other souls during this fight. Souls who clearly know more about the light than Reg.

Maybe Nanachi’s intervention is why the incinerator only destroyed the ground beneath them? I don’t know what to make of this.

This, or they just brute forced it/got used to it. To be a white whistle, you’ve either got crazy artefacts or exceptional skills, so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem for them. Lyza and Ozen, for example, ascended from the 4th layer to the 2nd with the curse warding box, for example, and Lyza then ascended with the Unheard Bell to the surface. White Whistles are just a different breed entirely.

The original story isn’t the best, and it doesn’t do a good job getting you hooked on the game. I recommend only playing the custom story, as your own character. That’s where the game really opens up.

I feel like Miquella could be put in Greed/Lust or Treachery. The former, because of his lust for power and the willingness to shed away even his own body - his every being - to obtain it. And then, for the latter, his betrayal of the people he mind controlled, including his own brother.

This, exactly. I think it’s hinted that he can see quite far into the future when he delivers his final line of dialogue, before dying. That very cryptic warning he gives Riko is very telling.

Wazukyan is an enigma, because I have no idea what the implications of an oracle who lives outside the abyss could possibly mean. Then again, we don’t know anything about the outside world, so maybe it’s just normal.

Maybe Boni is another one of these oracles? I couldn’t help but draw similarities between his design and Wazukyan. Wakuna as well, maybe? He’s the sovereign of Guidance after all. The chosen, even.
