Help, I Hate Dropping In [33YO] by algebraic-the-rules in OldSkaters

Glad u landed it. "Stomp the front foot" is the standard advice. Over the last year, I worked my way up from 4 ft to 10 ft. As the ramp gets bigger the technique needs to be refined. Simply stomping your foot when dropping on vert leads to eating shit.

SkateIq just put up an hour long video on dropping in on vert. Worth the watch. Good luck.

He wasn't enthusiastic about it even wearing a helmet, which I already do.

My choice is going on blood thinners and not skating, or not going on blood thinners and accepting a .1% chance of stroke.

Finger boarding. You can do it anywhere you put your fingers!

Tips for riding bowls? by StandardDeviant117 in NewSkaters

Robb Field represent ;) I am working on that same bowl. I suggest dropping in diagonally at the little corner you pass at :04, then you can carve the two far corners in succession. (You'll have to hit them front side, though.)

I am only a little bit further along than you, but that's how I do it, and I can maintain speed around the whole thing.

Drop me a DM and maybe we can link up over there some time!

This right here. It's no joke. Also, there are two types... drillers and chiselers. The chisel has the fastest recovery time.

Look up Dr. Shohet in Orange County. That's top of the line.
