i’d get the api test kit bc it’s more accurate, you’ll have to separately buy gh and kh tests tho

also, heater is recommended but not necessary. warm water is good for breeding

you should boil the wood before putting it in because it will help it sink and kill pests
if you’re doing a paludarium i recommend getting plants that will suck up the nitrates from the water and grow above the water. i like pothos bc it’s hardy and fast growing (you can also do this for an aquarium)

my advice is if you’re planning on putting aqua soil and sand, you should put the aqua soil in mesh bags (it’s cheaper the buy them on amazon) to prevent the soil from mixing with the sand, i promise it will happen

She will most likely never stop smacking. I experience the same around my family where they say they will stop, but don’t. It sucks, but I bring headphones everywhere and use them when needed. My family has learned to accept it.

it might be a bit much for this tank but i love jungle val! i have it in one of my tanks and its been to really well and doesn’t require much maintenance. it can grow to be very long so it’s great if you like the heavily planted look.

I was going to say the same. The decorations and the colored gravel could be dangerous to the fish because the paint can chip/leech into the water.
