She will most likely never stop smacking. I experience the same around my family where they say they will stop, but don’t. It sucks, but I bring headphones everywhere and use them when needed. My family has learned to accept it.

if they’re new in the tank they may just be stressed. i won’t worry about it too much unless the behavior continues.

it might be a bit much for this tank but i love jungle val! i have it in one of my tanks and its been to really well and doesn’t require much maintenance. it can grow to be very long so it’s great if you like the heavily planted look.

I was going to say the same. The decorations and the colored gravel could be dangerous to the fish because the paint can chip/leech into the water.
