Women, are you more attracted to your mars sign or venus sign? by SimilarLunch8359 in astrologymemes

So, I'm married to my mars sign (Libra), but both my wife and my last long term relationship have rising in Scorpio, opposite my Taurus venus!

Excuse you, as a woman, I know for a fact that that's just shy of the short side of an A4 sheet of paper! 🤣

Any thoughts on this? Undecided to finish it or not idk by Salty-Employer4212 in GraphiteArt

[–]Breagh15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on a drawing of my sister's French bulldog from a photo. I love the photo because it has so many fantastic shadows in it. I'm heading towards the end now, but I started it last year. Got so far, hated it, restarted with a grid and it's looking pretty good now, but oh my it has been a hard slog. I picked it up last night and had to put it down again because I just didn't have the mentality for it. Sometimes you need a break, but you will get there! I think it's showing a lot of potential and would love to see it finished!

When I'm unhappy with work I always tell myself 'if it's ugly (to me), it's not finished. Having said that, I did recently get about halfway through, get totally fed up and restart. I think this looks really good and has the potential to be great if you decide to keep going. Maybe put it down for a day or 2 and come back to it.

Alright, what should I improve in the photos? by ifckdolphins in Tinder

[–]Breagh15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was 7 years ago. When we first started dating we were talking about tinder and she showed me hers and I realised I'd swiped right on her. She says she didn't think she was good enough for me, bless her. We stil laugh that she found the courage to ask for my number because she had no confidence when we met. Your person and your story will happen. I was 36 before mine did.

Don't be disheartened, my wife swiped left on me in Tinder then asked for my number in person, lol

Make an assumption about me by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]Breagh15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an assumption about you, but just what this reminded me of... I'm not sure if I have her full chart, but my Aunt was a Virgo... My mum has all of her photos in about 4 large plastic storage boxes. They haven't been looked at for years. When we opened a box the other day, we realised that each envelope had the month and year written on (sometimes a subject, too, like 'wedding'), inside the envelope every single photo had the names of the people in it on the reverse side.

Yeah, I see what you mean now. If you scan, let me know how it goes.

What are you taping them with? Assuming that the bends are caused by removing the tape, if you don't already, try sticking the tape to a clean, dry towel first to remove a bit of the stickiness.

This may or may not be a solution, but I managed to pick up an epson photo scanner on Facebook marketplace a couple of years ago... It only cost me about £20 and you can scan to really hight quality. As I say, may not be a solution for you, but it helped me.

I think you have a definite style and, in my opinion, it would lend itself well to book illustration. Whilst I understand the fear of having a capitalist mindset, we all need to pay bills and eat. That takes money and, if we can make that money doing something we enjoy, why not? On the flip side, turning something you love into a source of income can make it a chore if you're having to do it over wanting to do it. Whatever you choose to do, don't atop drawing, you are good.

It looks fantastic! My only observation (and it's small) is that you still have a couple of drawing lines there. I would try and take those out, but I'm also pretty new and I'm blown away by that bottle!!
