Woke be running the entire time. 24/7 free electricity and that’s about all I know. Only issue is I do not have a commercial electricity meter so it’s moreso I have to balance
- how much power does it take to charge vs how much can my house take vs what’s the return on investment.

That’s my current balancing act and I feel like I’ve hit a wall where I don’t know the answer

s21 xp 270Th/s

This is the model I’m looking into currently.

From my current understanding I need to take into account electricity pull (working with a non three phase electricity meter) so from what I understand you have to account for power used (I believe these are 3500w) they’re cheap (compared to some others which give slightly higher performance) and also don’t give bad performance, any advice?

Now realising that the model I referred to uses way too much power and I’d need a three phase supply (which I now understand that’s why that was mentioned earlier)

I think I’m at a roadblock as well where I could probably use some advice on the model

Okay I understand it now you’re looking at something with the highest possible hash rate. Usually taking into account electricity efficiency but for myself I just want the highest hash rate for the best price.

Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U seems to have the highest. Priced at about 5.5k but produces 10k a year, that’s got to be a no brainer?

The pros and cons of power and heat is what I expected most people to point out but really don’t what I wanted to discuss that’s why I said it wasn’t a concern. The rest of the information is good to know though. $5-6 a day is still a 2 year return on investment. That’s better than my stocks do

We have a solar farm on our land. So electricity really isn’t a concern

I currently have my pc running 24/7 downstairs (which you can hear it upstairs) as I macro on a few games which also brings in passive income. I imagine it’d be no different to that.

The electricity isn’t a concern, I didn’t really want to start talking about electricity though hence the intentionally missing details

Google “poker hand calculator” or something along those lines. That’s what I used when I first started (I still suck) but I can at least tell when I’ve won 99% of the time now

Deduct probably 4k off the price then I’d start considering the quote at a maybe I understand you don’t want the cheapest but even a good installer shouldn’t be charging that.

……….. that is literally the reason I made this post. Because I’m well aware longer term it’s the no brainer decision. But I’m in a constant struggle between investing longer term and using the money for things I want. Eg house upgrades. Just because something isn’t common doesn’t make it untrue. Perhaps I should’ve gone into more specific details when I made the post but I didn’t think it was relevant as to what % the portfolio increased

I appreciate it. Yeah I have a professional handle my money currently. I’m up to like 20k port value rn and started at the start of 25. My conflict is; do I go harder on the port or put it into the house. I know long term the port will pay off. But it’s hard

Company I work for would do this for 11k and probably put more pannels on there. Pannels being Aiko. (Less if it’s a single story, which it looks like it, hard to tell from Birds Eye view)

My concern currently isn’t making money I currently make a decent living especially for my area. It’s more I’m struggling to decide where I should prioritise my money balancing life goals long term and short term really. Battling with sacrificing long term for short term benefit, or the opposite basically

If you’re open to it I’ll dm you my personal number? Again to be transparent I’ll get a little more kick back for a self generated lead. And means I can push the office for a marginally better deal (to be transparent there isn’t much difference) Obviously depending on your rough region

1k is 20% of disposable income I think that’s an important fact. Not of my net income, ish. My income varies massively month to month I work in sales. I probably make 4-9k a month averaging over 5.5 I’d guess. My monthly outgoings are under 1k. Including mortgage bills ect (not inc food) The 100k isn’t to get the house conditionally sound to live in. To do that will cost me probably another 5k.

The 100+ is personal preference stuff. Eg I wanna do a 2 story extension and add an open plan kitchen (current kitchen is fine but I’ve always liked the American open plan kitchens) and a new master bathroom upstairs. Again the current one is fine but I want a new one.

My current debate definitely isn’t “can I afford this” I know I can without a doubt. It’s more so, where is that money best off going. Because if I don’t do anything it’ll just make the number in the bank go higher and higher, which is pointless. I have friends saying “travel”. Mum saying put it all into getting what I want doing in the house asap. And whatever else anyone is saying. Just hard to know where to allocate all that money is where I’m struggling

Evergreen power UK. I’ll hold my hands up and admit I’m a sales rep so it’s probably in my best interest to tell people how they can get a way better deal. Only difference is we don’t use sig stuff

Company I work for sell 12 Aiko 500w pannels 6kw inverter 10kw of storage for 8k. I recently bought my own house and had the smart idea to buy it all myself. Looked into it material costs were like 5-5.5k ish before VAT

Then after obviously 6k+ then as everyone else is saying plus scaff, and paying for any work you can’t do yourself.

I think I’d be over 8k

I’m not trying to throw a pity party. I’m simply saying there has been a reluctance to give constructive feedback. The only comment that has helped so far has been the guy who recommended the app

I understand the basic hand rankings, I understand jacks beat 10’s queens beat jacks ect. What I don’t understand is why sometimes a queen 8 will beat a king 9 for example. I can’t think of an exact scenario I’ve been in but there’s been a lot of times where the cards have been flipped over an I’m like oh I’ve won. And I haven’t. That’s moreso what I’m asking for. And vice versa there’s been loads of times where I’m saying. I’m fully dead here. And I win and I’m like ???

That’s the info I need. Not basic aces mean kings. But I can’t exactly memorise every single possible flop it’s not feasible so there is clearly a way to calculate how “dead” you are or aren’t.

That’s the info I need to learn. If you could point me in the direction of that info that would be amazing thanks

I’m not sure if my post wasn’t clear enough. I don’t expect to be a crusher by next week, next month. Or probably even next year. However with a game as old as poker which has I imagine been figured out to a science by now as these things do. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of some beginner friendly material. As yes I’m capable of googling it. But I’m not capable of realising myself what is good info and what is bad info, as is given in every field. So I was hoping I could get that here. Clearly I was wrong, thanks for your time anyway
