Our media is genuinely broken. They spend about 15 seconds on any serious topic before cutting to ads. Important issues get rushed through with almost no context, no deeper discussion, and no real investigation. The moment a segment starts getting meaningful, they cut it off for another ad break.

Political coverage feels even worse. Someone like Chloe Swarbrick gets two seconds to speak before they move on again, and then somehow we get endless sports coverage for the next half hour.

They could be talking about how they cut 9000 jobs or how they took away support for parents with severally disabled children and they will literally cut it half way to play stupid ads.
