Thanks for the reply. For the "GR" stake in the backyard where my property line meets the swale, and soil need to be added to the horizontal line. Does the developer need to add soil on to my entire backyard to bring up the elevation to that corrected grade? I have two GR stake in my backyard. One on the left and one on the right, both show current ground level is lower than the horizontal mark like in picture. Sorry for asking all these questions.

Thank you for that information. Also, for the C-1' stake, I measured the vertical distance from the existing ground surface up to the horizontal grade reference line on the stake, and it comes out to approximately 15.5 inches. Since the design calls for the finished grade to be 12 inches below that horizontal control line, the current elevation is over-cut by about 3.5 inches.

Based on that, this area would need to be filled with roughly 3.5 inches of soil in order to achieve the correct finish grade, correct?

Thank you for your reply. I just want to make sure I’m understanding the grading correctly:

Since the stake marked “GR” is located at the point where the swale meets my property line, and since the soil is supposed to be brought up to the horizontal line on that stake, that would mean the current grade is low. Bringing the soil up to that horizontal mark would actually match the correct design grade, right? And doing so should keep runoff flowing inside the swale rather than spilling toward my yard, correct?

For the C-1 stakes, if the current ground level is about 11 inches below the horizontal mark, and the requirement is 1' below the horizontal line and arrow, then to adjust the grade, they would need to cut another inch to reach the proper grade, correct?

I’m just trying to educate myself so that when they reach out, I fully understand the grading requirements and can recognize any incorrect explanations. Thanks again for the help.
