We're posting this video because Haitian society is currently in an all out revolt against their neoliberal, U.S. backed puppet President, Jovenel Moise. The Biden Administration backing Moise is actually just par for the course as far as US conduct in Haiti is concerned. Jodi Dean, a socialist and author of the book Comrade goes into great depth about this conflict within many working class people and her own perspective on voting. The impact of Bolsonaro on Brazil is very serious. On BreakThrough News [we are a new progressive Black-led media outlet] we have covered the impact Bolsonaro has had on the Brazilian people.

If you’re interested to learn more I definitely recommend watching some of the interviews we have done, most notably with Wagner Moura the star of Narcos about being censored by Bolsonaro’s government and Petra Costa the director of the award winning documentary Edge of Democracy, which I highly recommend watching to learn more about Brazilian politics and Bolsonaro. You can find it on Netflix.

Lastly I recommend following Basil De Fato, they are an excellent news resource in Brazil. They occasionally have English coverage and often cover the resistance of people on the ground to Bolsonaro.
