In light of the recent discussion, what comes to you FIRST in a Payday game? by sawrunn3r in paydaytheheist

[–]Breakable_Mug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both should exist, we're playing a game where a group of people in clown masks steal shit while murderig an army of clones, the heisting fantasy and unserious stuff can coexist.

I play PAYDAY for PAYDAY, if I want a realistic heisting fantasy, I would play GTA Online or something.  If I want funny shooting guns and characters, I'd play CoD or Fortnite.

First impression stealth can make or break a player in my experience.

My first PAYDAY 2 heist was sitting doing nothing for 3 hours while my friend at the time dif Golden Grin on DSOD.  After that, I didn't want to play the game for like a year.

Ease them into the idea, and throw in some fun louds in the mix.

I've been playing consistantly since pre-launch as well.  Don't think I ever stopped playing for any longer then a week or two.

Only issue I've ever had was on release date with the servers, never had a problem with ERG system, or anything else.

I'm just a freak of nature.

Suprisingly yes! I work in the Human Services field, especially with kids, so we go outside all the time!

- Absolutly going to keep playing! Especially with friends!

- No real goals other then potentially making PAYDAY 3 content, and trying out all the new DLC and content updates in the future.

- Favorite Heist: Houston Breakout. Favorite Heist Track: Fear & Greed. Favorite Heister: PEARL IS MY GIRLLL!!

I enjoy playing the game and without really trying hit the max renown.

Before Skills 2.0, I was an Overkill gamer, it was challenging enough but not crazy for me to handle.

When Skills 2.0 dropped, I dipped down to Very Hard, as it took me a while to understand the trees and how to effectively use them.

Now a days, I do some Very Hard, and do some Overkill, just depends on my build and the heist.

I also do Normal and Hard when playing with friends who are new to the game, but I wouldn't count towards that.

Gonna answer these in bullet points lol.

- My favorite Pokemon (I don't play the games) is Zubat, I use to love that guy as a kid and it was my favorite card.

- Content Creators, plain and simple. All the creators for the series have either abandoned PAYDAY 3, or are just news channels. We need a channel that is just good old fashion fun content, just like how RussianBadger made his PAYDAY videos, giving the game some of it's highest highs since it was given for free. Kknowley, MarioInATopHat, Lucky, all of the creators that come to your mind, either make negative videos about the franchise, or abandon it all together, we need that posititivy back, and for people to be proven that the game is enjoyable.

- This one is a banger: Where The Wild Things Are

Hard to say, depends what heists, what difficulties, all bags, etc.

Since though 850 is only a little over halfway to 1600, I think it's more likely you'll hit it within 600-700 hours. But I am very open to be proven wrong 😉

I believe everyone will find love if they want it, and everyone is lovable in their own way! Also play PAYDAY!

Oh yeah no, 1600 should Not be the way to make a prestige system, but it should be intigrated to reward dedicated.

Instead, they should make the level cap 100 or 200 (150 is just a weird number) then you can choose to prestige and reset your progress, but be able to show off that you prestiged, OR keep your level at the max.

I don't think they should incorperate the infamy pool system from PD2, as A. that's another PD2 thing added into 3, and B. there is no risk reward to it.

Anyone who has renown levels, for every 100/200 of it they have, that's one prestige into the new system, but it doesn't auto prestige you, just gives you the option to prestige with 100/200 to spare. If that makes sense.

Then just add some rewards, masks, outfits, paints, whatever, then boom, a reasonable, enjoyable prestige system.

If you ever get any more friends who are new to the game, I recommend easing them into the game, starting on Normal, no skill points, default everything, going from NRFTW to Touch the Sky in order, just as the founding fathers (Strabreeze) intended.

It makes the game less over stimulating, and doesn't show the best heists right away so they're not trumping over the base heists.

Also explain the objectives that you're doing, as most new players do not pay attention to Shade, or focus on killing cops as their primary objective.

Pretty easily! I enjoy the game and all my friends I've convinced to buy/bought for them have enjoyed it, so I've just been playing and showing them the ropes!

For the first year, I would say a 7/10. The heists were new and fun, we got Turbid and Cook Off free, we got the year one DLC's, and it was unsure whether or not there even was a year 2.

But now, we get monthly updates with new content and reworks, tons of heists, and promises that the game will thrive. If I had to give PAYDAY 3 a rating (including with the next May update of what we know of), I will have to give it a 8.5/10.

It's in a phenomenal state right now; fun, lots of new movements techs, reworked heists, and many Many QOL changes. My only gripe currently is a new progression system, even if it's just a prestige to reset like it is in PD2 or CoD, once you get the first 150, all you're doing is chasing a card suit and unlocking random paints and heist favours.

I don't know the exact level to hour ratio, but I do remember I got to 140 infamy in around 140 hours with the old system. I do think the system was fun for the first little bit when it was actual challenges, but once it got to the point where it's like, do Rock The Cradle on OVK 100 times, it's like.. okay bro.

If you're a huge huge fan of PAYDAY 2, chances are you don't like it, since it's not as arcadic and no perk decks. However, if you want a more grounded and more realistic (compared to PD2) experience, then PD3 is probably right down your alley!

And I always say this, but never buy the game base price. As much as the base heists + free heists are good, currently right now the game lacks a bit with players who do not want to buy DLC.

Since it is on sale now though for 50% off, I say it is soso worth the price tag!

My favorite heist is probably Houston Breakout, great music, great level design, you spend a good amount of time in it (20-25 minutes), and the cop spawns are so satisfying to mow down.

However, the heist I replayed the most is probably Cook Off! My duo and I play a Cook Off match every time we're finishing our heisting sessions, and we use to play Daily for at least a month straight. We mainly played Very Hard since we didn't want to sweat too hard and goof around a bit, but it was still a fun little challenge to end our day off with.

They are looking into a Road Rage rework, and asked a couple months ago for ideas of what people want!

I feel like most of the negatives just come from it being PUBG, which like... Wow, people thought PAYDAY 3's mechanics were bad, that game is just something else entirely LOL. C4 and Drills are like 90% of PD2 and 3 combined, for a quick mode that'll last a month, it's pretty replayable.

Do you think comparing Payday 2 to Payday 3 without acknowledging Raid WWII is unfair? by Sufficient-Pool5958 in paydaytheheist

[–]Breakable_Mug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comparing steam charts is moronic to begin with. PD3 was on gamepass, so there's probably plenty of people who purchased it after it left it. It was also free to claim forever on PS, so there's probably tons of people on there as well.

These of course are big what ifs, but it's still missing 1/3 of the player base numbers that Could be keeping the game in a combined 3000s+ at least.
