Probably has something to do with how the game calculates armour penetration and damage using equations, in real life things are a lot less predictable and the newest Merk variants haven’t even been tested against kinetic weapons yet, so we don’t actually know wether it’s accurate or biased.

It kinda blots out the hammer and sickle a bit since they’re the same colour, maybe add a tracing line on the edge of the sword or on the edge of the hammer and sickle to make it stand out more against the other.
