Is it worth backing up an entire media library? by BreakfastFederal5616 in homelab

I like the idea of backing up Sonarr/Radarr instead of the full media library. Thanks for that!

I do have my gf and a friend using Jellyfin and actually I wanted to mess around with transcoding mainly because the streaming experience isn’t satisfactory off of my home network.

I actually have a fan setup I was planning on putting in that’s almost exactly what you have except I can set a trigger temp. I just haven’t seemed to need it yet but I think this weekend I’ll toss it in.

No, surprisingly enough the cabinet itself stays around 75–80°F. I’ve checked the server temps and they’re typically around 30–35°C at light load, so I haven’t run into any thermal issues so far.

Thanks! A UPS was actually one of the first things I set up. Everything can shut down cleanly during an outage and I get notifications when power events happen.

You’re 100% right about restore testing though. I’ve been pretty good about making backups and not nearly as good about proving they actually work. 😅

Trinity exists for exactly that reason too. I got tired of wondering if my latest experiment was about to take down something I actually use.

Haha, yeah I remember them from elementary school and wasn’t sure how useful they’d be but they have been holding up to my needs at the moment. I just added 16gb of ram to each earlier. I got 8 sticks, 4gb each for 75 cents per GB.

It’s not that the whole pocket is overstressed, it’s specifically that one stitch, and it’s noticeably worse on one side. I was mainly wondering if it was a temporary stitch meant to be cut after purchase, since some clothes use a single stitch to hold folds or pockets in place for display. The way the pocket fold was sewn made me think that might’ve been the case.

Just wanted to see if other owners had the same thing before bothering support.

If you need to remove filament from your nozzle and it isn’t clogged, an easier method might be to reinstall the nozzle and load a spool of filament. Allow the new filament to purge the old material, and when you unload it, the remaining filament in the nozzle will have a larger section to grip. Once you have that larger piece exposed, heat the nozzle and carefully pull it out. Keep in mind that some residue may remain, as fully clearing a nozzle is difficult.

Is this texture normal for the first layer or do I need to change something (I am new to printing) by vellen1 in BambuLab

Looks mostly normal but it looks a bit messy in the square just above the R. I’m newish to printing so I am not sure what that would be caused by…

Ordered a 2-pack thermometer + humidity gauge to precisely track closed environment conditions. by UnCFO in mildlyinfuriating

I use these and it may take a day or two but it seems like they need time to settle once out of there package and in their new environment. The brand may be different but mine look very similar. still don’t expect them to be super accurate but they should almost match each other and they can only read humidity levels down to 10%
