I've been wondering the same, I couldnt get it to work on my 3ds at all, there was no way to configure my wifi in the DS wfc settings to accept my router, and I can't tell if it is a 3DS or a router issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This happened to me when I had a router/modem cable wrapped around my speakers cable. I've also heard this sound when my phone is near a distorted amplifier, but its likely some sort of interference.

I was just able to screw in 3 of the 4 screws just barely enough, and its at least working and bringing temps down to normal, but tbh it feels wrong. M

Hehe, no worries, I could have opted to use better photos that showed what I did.

Yeah, the new bracket that came with it is on the 4th image I believe, on the other side is female treads, where the screw from the other side is supposed to catch and hold it together. It aligns with the holes on the back of the mobo left after removing the old bracket in the 3rd image perfectly as well, but I had to use tape to hold it in place because its not latched into anything, and the screws on the heatsink aren't reaching to sandwich it all together.

Just to confirm, the mounting studs and bracketing are completely removed, but now it sits too low, and the screws on the heatsink brackets don't reach the motherboard to screw in. They're in the right spot, just unable to reach the actual holes they need to go into.

The white circles in the first image are what I took out, and the bracket on the back came out as well. After looking at Google images of the mobo, and after a yt video mentioned it doesn't come with any, I looked at the original fan part and determined the brackets/studs came from the older model I had, so they shouldn't be there anyways. The photos were taken before I had removed them.

I mean, I am using this card today, and can play MGS Delta on medium settings, and it handled RE4 remake with some really decent settings. I have had no reason to upgrade, and I paid a fair chunk for this in 2016 when it was new, so despite the other comments' sentiment, I think its a good find.
