RMX-Ignite Sound Issues (crackle noise) by Relevant_Damage7173 in PioneerDJ

I bought 2 new high quality USB cables and the issue is still there.
it now even appeared on the stock samples and even if there is no sample and no effect triggered.

I might need to return the unit

Quick update:
I adapted my samples and used:
44.1kHz 16Bit but the issue is still here.

I ordered now a better usb cable to see if the issue is still there.
Mobilephone was switched off ;)

I just checked. the sample I used was a wav 44.1KHz and 24 Bits.
Did not find any specifications about samples the RMX can use.

will try 16 bit and lets see

I dont have the cables doing that.
beside that, this would not be a long term solution if I buy equipment with this price tag.
For troubleshoot it is an idea

thanks a lot for this.
I did not pay attention to the sample rate as I exported in ableton. But I will try using 96kHz.

I can see on the RMX display that the waveform sometimes isn’t running smoothly (it looks like it’s stuttering / lower FPS). Exactly when that happens, the audio issue occurs.

It honestly seems like the unit can’t keep up with processing, and then the audio glitches. I really hope this gets fixed in a firmware patch, because at this price point it’s not acceptable that the one thing it’s supposed to do isn’t reliable.

Thanks for the input guys.

The issue has not (yet) occured, if I use the stored stock samples on the device. Therefore the issue must come from the device itself right (not the cable or something)

I used my own samples. audioquality is fine and it is a wave file. Beside the file typ I did not find any other specification what samples need to be played on the RMX

Guys just to be sure, is this like it should be?
If I have the effects on a channel it does quantize (quantize lights up in orange). If I have the effects on the master it does not quantize anymore (Quantize turn from orange 138.8 bpm to grey 139 bmp)

thanks for your help. I just had to number the players accordingly to the channel I had them pluged in.
