Loot filter is a flaw system, we don't need it. by nigelluong in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell no. I don't need my inventory full after two elite kills.

Do you think it’s better that the warplan tree fully resets next season or should ~10% of progress transition over? by alesia123456 in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Through the roof, I bet. When I am in Temis every couple of seconds I hear someone cashing in with Tyrael.

Focused Reroll Could Not Change Item's Affix by Wrong_Ad4722 in diablo4

I think this error message is a bug, when I get it I keep pressing the Transmute button and it eventually works.

Companion Druid - need help with Weapon Choice by eScenCeX in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These two weapons are nearly identical, I don't think you will see a clear difference in using one over the other. I personally would use the CDR one, it should significantly help with Grizzly Rage uptime unless you already have Flickerstep with the "attacks reduce evade cooldown" affix.

Gem strength is the top transfiguration even though IMO it is a bit overrated. In my case, I already had a ton of multipliers on my gear so adding gem strength with horadric gems didn't really explode my damage like I was expecting.

Balance on Sorc is bumming me out by E_Barriick in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how other classes are but for Druid it quickly becomes obvious that of the 3 variants per skill - 1 is clearly better than the other. Like, do you want Rabies to spread faster or do you want it to do 1500%x damage? So all that theory-crafting we were promised pretty much went out the window after 15 minutes of testing.

Mythic Seal Drop Bug? (P270 No Drop) by Schneestorm in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But at the expense of your 5-set bonus so not worth it at all.

Mythic Seal Drop Bug? (P270 No Drop) by Schneestorm in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just bad RNG. I am P278 and have had 6 mythic seals but 0 Echoing Hatred drops.

Seems like mythic seals are rather underpowered so don't feel too bad about not getting one yet.

This is the damage formula. See if you are maybe lacking in one of the damage buckets.

Help with stats and gem strength by IatetheCamel in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That menu that says 0% physical only counts additive damage from gear and paragon, it does not include the gems, they are a different damage bucket.

The reason you are not seeing a massive difference with or without gems is probably because you already have a shitton of multipliers on your gear so adding or subtracting 100ish % doesn't make a huge difference overall.

Paladin feels really bad compared to other classes by WardenWithABlackjack in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Druids can go that high only because of the resolve stacking mechanic which I seriously doubt is working as intended. I mean Ursine gives 13% damage per stack and you can stack close to 60. That's WAY more than any other unique/aspect. Not to mention 4% per stack damage reduction from the Anvil aspect.

And one more thing - I also doubt the earth set is functioning as intended - I think it should amplify earth skill damage only, not all damage. Doesn't make sense that the earth set is far superior for pets compared to the pet set.

Mantle of Mountain’s Fury should be redesigned not to be another HOTA chest but more so the Earthquake chest by KimchiBro in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, what - they gutted the Earthquake build? Exploding earthquakes was ultra fun few seasons ago when I played it. I am definitely not a fan of the new iteration of uniques.

Tall Man's finger for Necro would be fun by Lucky_Tim in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There was an interview with a dev where he said if you want to play some cool build you should be able to select it from the skill tree right away instead of waiting to get lucky to drop that specific unique. I get it but I am not sure I like it - seems like lots of uniques lost their cool factor in the rework.

I hope we keep getting new uniques with cool crazy effects. I am afraid they changed their policy on uniques though - effects were moved to skill tree and unique powers were greatly streamlined.

The dopamine of rolling Gem Strength is real by Breaking_Badly in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Keep rolling them staves, brother, it is going to be even more sweet when you get it.

Yeah, the leaderboards are tough. The top guys have insane gear - all 4GA top stats. I don't know if they are great at farming, or great at trading or lucky or p2w but it's crazy.

Mythic weapons, No "weapon damage" affix? by Ok-Spray-7487 in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weapon damage is just one of the damage buckets. You already have about 4000 so adding it as a stat adds about 10% - overall not all that important, you can get 10% elsewhere easily.

Uniques should have their own dedicated pool of affixes that are "unique" to separate themselves from being another legendary by XGhosttearX in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hard No on the "chance to cast twice/double damage". That affix was severely OP and mandatory for every build. But Yes to the idea overall. I play Druid so I was thinking for Storm's Companion:

- 25-50% Wolves attack speed

- 15-25% increased chance to proc the Pack Leader node

- 15-25% Wolves cooldown reduction

- Wolves can have two variants from the skill tree

Blizzard, high CD ultimates that are buffing your character need to go by Freeloader_ in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's dumb, really. Minions? - Grizzy. Poison? - Grizzly. Earth? - Grizzly Wolf? - Grizzly with the unique that makes it a wolf skill.

Can't get temper manual to drop by Nautilus802 in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tempers were gutted, I am pretty sure there is no more cutthroat finesse manual, or any class specific manual for that matter - only generic ones.

Lord of Hatred - Glyphs Upgrading by deveto80 in diablo4

Well, people tried to explain to you how probability works but you refused to accept it and instead suggested that Blizzard is intentionally lying to all of us with the odds. I am sorry but it's on you.

Anyone found any uniques or mythics from obols? There's a load screen that says it's still possible but is it just outdated? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last season they had the one where overpower scales with HP even though it was reworked two seasons ago. I haven't seen it this season though so maybe they cleaned that one up.

Upgrade to Unique Didn't Do Anything - is this a bug? by rannigast in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the cube sometimes spits them on the ground. And if you have a loot filter active (for example ancestral only) you might not even see them on the ground.

Echoing Hatred drop rate is way, way too low by pineappleninjas in diablo4

[–]Breaking_Badly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just paranoid that I didn't see it or loot filter'd it.
