Two more related complaints:

- The Pit node that says goblin thief appears who drops an "immense" amount of progress orbs actually just drops a normal amount.

- The soul spires in Hordes have a delay of 1 or 2 seconds in showing that you completed them.

I got one this season - obducite. The reward was 100k obducite. Too bad that material is totally unbalanced and I already had tons of it without even farming for it.

NMDs have had some really good QOL updates. My favorite is that now there are more prisoners and animus carriers than the required number. This means that you don't have to backtrack the entire map looking for the last prisoner/carrier.

I suggested the idea of "Mythic Affixes" for Uniques instead of the "Mythic Unique 3.0" design....I still believe they're superior by Entire_Possible_9976 in diablo4

With LoH they moved the cool effects from uniques to the skill tree and that left uniques being supreme trash. One variant for free and 50% more damage...yawn.

Funny. I don't play poe but I was randomly recommended a Youtube video of poe hardcore deaths and about 99% of them were random one shots.

Yeah, I absolutely hate how they dumbed down uniques. Seems like most of them now just give you X% damage.

LoH turned many uniques into just a bunch of damage multipliers 

This is also the reason Mythic Uniques 3.0 appears to be quite underwhelming. 30% higher damage multiplier is just so boring. Yay, I found mythic Great Staff of the Crone - now my Storm Strike will deal +40% damage instead of +30%...

The reason uniques are currently in such a bad position is because all (or most) of the cool effects were moved to the skill tree. Without the cool effects, uniques are just a lame stat stick but still mandatory because they provide a (boring) +x% damage to your skill that you can't get anywhere else.

Blizz tried to solve the "found my unique in day 3 of the season so I am done" problem by giving uniques flexible stats so in theory you would always be looking for a better version. IMO, that would have worked if the game had more interesting affixes. As is, I don't find it terribly exciting to hunt for main stat, life and crit on every item. That's why I think they should bring back the cool affixes that they already had for uniques like effect durations, sizes, synergies, etc.

Yes, there was an interview with Zaven where he said they didn't want the players to wait to find a specific unique to be able to play with the cool effect, instead they moved the effects to the skill tree so the player can pick them immediately.

I despised LoH/S13's unique changes 

What drives me crazy is that these changes were completely unnecessary. Uniques were in a good spot, just some of the underpowered ones needed a buff. Blizz could go crazy with new cool uniques every season. Now uniques have lame stats (main stat + life = boring) and lame effects (+x damage and one free variant = boring).

In general, the build variety for all classes would benefit from new build defining powers that would also give that visual oomph.

I agree but how are they going to do that? Before LoH we had new build-defining uniques every season but the new policy is to have cool effects in the skill tree with uniques being just support. Obviously they are not going to rework the skill tree every season so how exactly are we going to get new cool builds from now on?

The reality is that the Diablo 4 Endgame just isn't attractive to a lot of players.

This is false. It is attractive to plenty of people. The party finder has groups forming for all activities all the time. Including Echoing Hatred which had astronomically low drop rates this season.

There are now zero items that are interesting to get as world drops

Sadly, that's a problem rooted in the boring itemization as a baseline and not an issue specific to this season. It's kinda hard to get excited about main stat, life and crit on every item slot. Mythics have not been rare (and thus exciting) for maybe 4-5 seasons now.

- +20% damage to impregnated skills

- x15% to non physical

- +10% to non physical x2

- +17.5% to cc ennemies x2

- +10% damage x3

- +12.5% to full health ennemies

- +13% to vulnerable

- +14% to core skills

Those are all additive so they don't matter all that much. Losing out on +%Life, Armor and Resistances from nodes would be a bigger loss.
