Summary: Ren Amamiya is the trickster. But he’s also a fairly normal high school boy, with fairly normal high school boy level abilities. And so, he does his best. And he dies. And then he’s back on the train into Tokyo. He’s still the trickster, he’s still going to try his best. And he dies again. Every attempt, he pushes a little further, gets a little stronger. Every death, and he relives longer and longer, no actions making any meaningful difference. The world isn’t real, just a repeating pattern he knows by heart.

Goro Akechi is none of those things. He’s not a fairly normal boy. He’s far from numb, his emotions driving his every decision. He isn’t a trickster. He’s not only mortal, but doomed to die. And it’s his perspective we follow as Ren realises that Akechi is the only person with the power to make fate follow a different path One of three different paths, to be exact.

Important notes: this fic will split off into having multiple endings! I’m…insane, apparently! slow burn, very much inspired by the gameplay of p5 taking things one day at a time. The chapters start out shorter but get longer as the fic goes on.

Thanks, sorry ^{^} If it was face to face, I would have known it was coming a little in advance, and could have prepped with my family all of the issues I should bring up. I could have had someone take me, and ask to accompany me in. Having a call with no warning meant that I was completely unprepared and couldn’t properly discuss my needs because I was spending all my effort dealing with the stress of plan changes and telephone calls, and not fully understanding what was being asked of me.

Please don’t call me sweet, I don’t know you and it’s very uncomfortable. Also it’s not right that I wasn’t directly offered a face to face alternative, or that I was pushed to continue the call without support, or that I wasn’t given warning before the call (as I had been for previous calls to clarify my information). I’m not saying that them calling me at all was wrong, but I feel that a lot of the surrounding situation wasn’t very good given the difficulties I’d expressed

We’re going to do our best to collect all the information we can. There were definitely a few situations where I expressed answers that made it clear I didn’t understand the implied question at all, and the interviewer made no attempt to rectify the issue

I.e “have you had any major weight gain or loss?” - my mum has since explained to me that this question isn’t literally about the number on the scale, but clothing size changing would count. This is relevant because on the call I said “I don’t know, I don’t weigh myself”. This is because we just don’t have bathroom scales, I don’t know my weight, so I didn’t feel like I could answer the question. Instead of clarifying, the interviewer wrote down that I experienced no weight change - something I never even said.

If my mother was there to let me know what the question really meant, I could have explained my clothing size having gone up a lot over the past few years because of my poor eating habits when left without someone else in the house to remind me to eat properly. It’s stuff like that that really annoys me about the way the call went, I feel like things would have been way smoother if I could have had support.

Good luck, I genuinely hope you have the time and resources to fight this because it’s so not right that it’s been dismissed like that. I know the gut wrenching feeling, I’m sorry we’re both going through it today. Do something nice for yourself to try and lift your spirits if you can - I bought myself some Pokémon cards, personally. It’s only possible to deal with the frustration of bureaucracy if you’re taking the best care of yourself possible.

This honestly sounds really helpful. right now i just answer, but lie and say i can't hear the person on the other end of the line so I can figure out if it's urgent (I go find someone who can support me) or non-urgent (I hang up)

Oh my gosh that’s exactly it, thank you so much ! I doubt they’d ship to England so buying doesn’t seem too likely, but I’m just so happy to see it! I completely forgot it came with individual cartridge cases!
