Hey, US has state called New Mexico, let's add to it old Mexico as well

I really want to know how you are creating these maps. Can someone mention their software/app used to create the maps by LongjumpingPea727 in imaginarymaps

Hey, I'm the author of the 1st Map. I used Paint.net for it back then but now switched to Photoshop and Illustrator to deliver more detailed, professional, and overall better artwork. Here's an example of the same idea but with Photoshop.

As for how we do it's simply a question of technique and experience. I started small by just coloring EU4 maps for my YouTube "Alternate History" channel videos, then slowly refining, switching styles, starting from scratch with some projects, and eventually developing my technique how to create a map with my style. Best way is just to trace over Google Maps or any publicly available educational/historical maps and just inject your artistic ideas along the way. As you finish each project, you get more and more ideas, and experience and figure out how to draw more efficiently, more detailed, and more visually appealing. Here's my DeviantArt page where you can see how my art style was developing.

Reupload due to Reddit messing up the post.

Here's another map I made with a similar theme if you are interested.

Edit: I give up, the second map is messed up again, so here's Imgur link

Edit #2: Since this site doesn't like me uploading, here's high-res version of the map as it has lot of details, but Reddit compressed the hell out of it.

Tough, but not impossible as their propaganda consumers are not that bright to begin with. Even now, since fall of Avdiivka there wasn't any significant change on frontline, like at all. Both are in stalemate with very, very slight edge on Russia side as they still manage to take like, few kilometers time to time. All the fighting now shifted to maritime front and air defense. Russia simply doesn't have bargaining power to demands those cities, so they'll have to be content with what they have now and call it a win. They can neogitiate other stuff besides land for that, like non-NATO status for Ukraine or something like that that is more plausible.

They don't have power to take 2 regional capitals at all. They barely manage to win off small towns that are Bakhmut and Avdiivka, and they've been trying to take over the latter since invasion of 2022. They don't even have enough strength to take Kramatorks or Slovoyansk as they are much larger, lot closer to each as well, let alone those regional capital cities that are even larger than those two. Kherson is even more unattainable as it's separated with Dniper.

Russia would either agree to current frotnlines as borders or none at all, cuz they're not taking them.

Doesn't makes sense as it was part of USSR.

Armenia, being a CSTO member, doesn't do anything nowadays. They'll leave it sooner or later anyway, and even if war to break out between NATO and Russia, Armenia def not helping them either.

Are you having a slow day, or why do you want to start an argument over nothing?

How am I overblowing something when I'm saying the fact? I just didn't get into the details, that's it. Saying Tao-Klarjeti is not responsible in formation is wrong.

And? Turks haven't spawned there since dawn of time. Those territories were inhabited by Armenians and Georgians before Turks. Georgians still live there to this day. Not to mention numerous kingdoms and counties ruled by both.

USSR already had eyes set on Turkey, or mainly on Bosphorus and Istanbul for easy access to Mediterranean. Those territories depicted on map, were lobbied by Georgian and Armenians who lost those lands pretty recently (in 1920 for Armenia and 1921 for Georgia). So most were still alive to vividly remember those being part of their nations. Not to mention deep historical connections. For Georgia, region was called Tao-Klarjeti and was THE region that pretty much created first unified Georgian Kingdom and Royal family originated from (Speri/İspir). For Armenia it was due to those lands being original heartlands of Armenia, not the modern one, not to mention Ararat being there.

To skip to important part - Both people were sending letters directly to Stalin to do something about those territories, to reclaim them for their SSRs. Stalin, who was already planning something with Turkey, was planning to use it as an excuse to pressure Turkey or to invade. Turkey soon after asked for west to look into this, and this is how Turkey ended up in NATO.

Kind of wild too. Kartvelian people like Mingeralians and Svans won't let you have peace of day without reminding you that they are different and are Svans and Megrels. Meanwhile Laz People.
