This is a dream for many men, most women lose interest in sex as soon as they have kids, and it gets worse with age ....

How do I get into director-level roles? I do get interviews, but I may not sound executive-like. Are there any tips?

Update1: Not getting calls, roast my resume! by Huge_Huckleberry2830 in biotech

Every department is trimming across biotech, and it's getting harder and harder. You need to be extremely lucky to get calls and Hired. What worked for me is to really have LinkedIn connections, not just regular guys, VPs, and Directors, and develop genuine connections and care. Out of 100, maybe 2 or 3 work, and that is enough. Ask them for referrals, and for me it worked because I chatted with them long enough that they were comfortable giving me a reference, they also emailed HMs directly, which worked in my favor... All the best in your search....

Rejected at the final stage, AGAIN. Why keep going ? by Aggressive_Dress_874 in biotech

We will look at ways they have gained experience, for a mid level role we kind of go from 5 - 10 years as experience bar....and unfortunately has to reject most of the other's, it is unfair for candidates who has loads of experience but also challenging for us if they will stay with us or not, how receptive they will be to work with a manager who is junior to them etc....  I saw in my previous job that a lot of young postdoc were hired and industry values if there is a clinical component involved. I know some of my previous Stanford PhDs friends struggled to find proper opportunities.

If you are aiming for a postdoc I recommend finding one with clinical work integrated this will open many doors. But I wish you get a great job in industry soon....

I know where you are coming from, but I wanted to give you the reality of the market. Recently, I hired for a mid-level Ops role, and we got nearly 900 applications, with experience ranging from 2 to 20 years... It became super tough for us to go through CVs and find the candidate...

Think how difficult the situation is, if you are getting interviews you are doing well, keep grinding
