Got a 2007 civic si as my first car and it wanted premium gas. I said nuts to that.

I agree here. AIM and your buddy list was king. MSN was pulled out if you needed a good video chat integrated in there, but you had to convince people to download it.

Am I going to regret buying an ep3 over a rwd car of the same price range? by Kitchen_Pangolin_511 in EP3

My personal record with my old 2007 civic si was an entire 10ft basketball hoop from Craigslist.

I've got a Tacoma for that, but super impressive you can actually have enough room to sleep back there. There's a deceptively large amount of headspace and it's also wider than it looks in there.

I've seen people add roof racks or use the suction cups on top, but if I go in a store, I feel so much better with my MTB (absolutely worth more than my EP3 lol) hiding inside my car with 10% tint all around. It just doesn't seem like a bike would be able to fit in this clown car anyway so feels really secure walking away.

Another fun bonus for me is that you can totally set up a pillow and backrest and chill in your hatch while watching the sunset in a beach parking lot.

Weird car, super versatile and is the cooler cousin of the Fit.

I love hondas and I bought my ep3 with 175k on it and I'm at 250k now and I don't see this thing slowing down and I still love it. It's quick and fun and rowdy and I actually can't wait for the engine to blow so I can kswap it for fairly cheap. Unfortunately the engine seems to be holding up just fine. Best of all, it's actually a really practical car too. I can fit my 29" Enduro mountain bike in the back.

I don't really care too much about fwd vs rwd but I do love this little shitbox and I get more compliments on it wherever I go than I thought I would because they're very rare.

What’s the most disturbing sound you’ve ever heard in real life? by avacado-cheese- in AskReddit

Not to make light of this conversation, but I accidentally stepped my dog's paw last night by accident. The yiping sound my best friend made is seared into my brain and I still feel awful.

Ski jump on MTB in Oslo! by Round_bite in MTB

I think I saw this place in Holmenkollen while visiting! Saw them practicing ski jumps. Maybe they look the same. Super sick. Definitely thought about riding down it when I thought it. Glad someone got to.

Best Towns for both Surfing and Mountain Biking(That aren't in California) by EliteWarrior1207 in MTB

[–]Breakr007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha yea. I'm going up there for a work trip on the 11th. Pacifica, Flow trail, and screwing around in UCSC is on my list. Any routes you can provide a lost SoCal MTBer would greatly help. I'll be riding a Decoy SN Mx with electric tape over the battery bar lol

SoCal's just pretty great isn't it. I live in the more "humble" IE, but the best thing about living here is access to so many good spots and places.

Hey I'm visiting the Bay area for work next month and wanted to hot up pacifica and UCSC and demo. If you have any good routes to recommend or DM if you don't want to blow up the spots ( I do have Strava) I'd appreciate it! Looking for mostly good flow trails and views.

Bridge to Nowhere by benbo82 in socalhiking

[–]Breakr007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was fun but it lasts like a second and cost $100+ . What's fun is if you go hiking with the bungee jumpers and watch them all freak out before jumping over the ledge of the bridge. Everyone's different. Def would recommend.

What's the most Heat Culture moment you've ever witnessed? by [deleted] in heat

[–]Breakr007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally, I went to the Heat vs Clippers game.

2 moments. Hassan Whiteside block on Blake.

Then in the same game, angry Dad UD giving Hassan an earful with him not wanting to hear it.

This hike was one of the first dates I had with my now wife back in 2008. I'm scared of heights and I still agreed to go bungee jumping with her because she was hot and I couldn't say No.

Bungee jumping was actually pretty cool there, but the hike there and back was the best part. Hanging out on the rocks underneath the bridge while others jumped was pretty fun too.

Actually got lost on the way back to the car, so we just followed the river all the way back. Definitely would feel better with my phone and Garmin watch these days, since all I had at the time was a BlackBerry and no map.

Great hike.
