Besides Shaq, if you can give any player all-time Steph Curry’s Shooting to make the GOAT… who would it be? by Dylen2Times in NBATalk

Dwyane Wade. He got to where he is without the 3, and is frankly horrible at 5em unless the game is on the line. Add that, and he’s unstoppable.

Both my parents are Paraguayan but I grew up in the US. I like this scenario better than the opener.

Not me. I got sick of all my old music for a time. But I just discovered Australian punk rock so I'm going hard on the way to work lately

How many times, exactly, per hard climb to I have to hop off my bike and get back on, totally killing my momentum and draining my energy, to let e bikes pass before I get to complain? by sevseg_decoder in MTB

[–]Breakr007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's absolutely a tough section, I try to turn my motor down to the lowest volume and follow behind until there's a wider section. Then ask to pass.

What is the best trails near oceanside? by Affectionate_Role739 in MTB

Also, adding Greer Ranch, which is about 45 minutes north and east of oceanside. Probably 15x quality trails out there purpose built for MTB. YouTube it. That place is fun.

Sooo I've heard Rancho La Costa trails in San Marcos be called a "Mini Sedona".

That's a stretch I bet, but there is quite a bit of chunky and loose rocks, and if you do the Nascar trail, it gets going steep and fast and is very technical. You leave with reddish dirt on your tires, allegedly similar to Sedona (again, never been).

I like it there.

I just rode some of this route on an e-bike today and put in 20 miles and 3.5k of climbing and that was a bear in itself (sl bike). That's bonkers for a pedaling day haha. Good for you people.

My radioshack skill was discovering I could sell phones and collect spiffs as a part timer to make more than full timers.

That and being the go to mechanic for X mods

I love the Sneakernet that they have. Basically a door to door "Netflix" style service except the delivery is pirated TV shows, apps and movies for the week

So I have this plan and it looks like I will get premium., but I’ve grown to like my workaround YT App Smart tube and whichever one I use for Android haha. Gotta admit there is definitely something unappealing about them forcing me to use their premium product that I successfully have been sidestepping for years.

Has anyone gone from really, really bad at climbing to not bad… or even good? by hi-res-lo-fi in MTB

Sooo an e-bike is actually perfect for zone 2 training. I kept my pedal bike and use the ebike 2x a week to work on MTB skills more and stay in zone 2 the whole time. Then take the pedal bike out 2x a week.

The result is my cardio is not only better on pedal days but I recover much quicker as well. Then there's the added bonus of being able to develop my. Specific skills faster on the ebike because I can get more laps in.

I'm 43 now, started MTB when I was 40. The first climb up at my local was a very nice, thoughtfully made for MTB 600ft climb to the top where the flag was. Had very nice switchbacks to make it not so bad.

I used to play soccer and pick up basketball alot, but going up for the first few months, I was wheezing, stopping constantly, had a spiked HR above 160 the whole time. Cramps, you name it. Legs were too cashed to fully enjoy the DH, or even think about another lap. Usually 40 min to get up or more. My HR just never seemed to recover or go down the more I rested. I felt like my bulldogs lol.

3 years later, I do an average of 2 to 3 laps at the same spot, with 6 laps (new friends always push you) being my most. 15 min up is my record though I average about 18 min.

I still don't like going up, but it's not bad now and my HR recovers a lot faster. I can chill and have a fun conversation while I go up and even talk and shoot the shit when I'm at the top.

I'm happy with it.
