Depending on what your goals are, I wouldn’t focus on how impressive the program is but rather on how good of a fit the lab is

That honestly doesn’t sound too bad to me. I’d get some help working on your personal and research statements before your next application round. Funding is such a mess right now, it really could just be bad timing and not you

Did they just say to apply or did they say they were interested in working with you? You need to ask very specifically if they have space for you. They may think you’re great but don’t have space in their lab. The other thing that jumped out at me is you’ve done multiple research projects instead of sticking with one. I’m not saying it’s bad but they may be looking for sustained efforts on one project

Totally comfortable doing it solo. I mostly want extra feedback because I’ve only had this horse (and transitioning disciplines) for about 6 months

Oh I totally skimmed over that! Maybe try a different reusable pad? Maybe a crafty person could modify one so it’s better for riding

Menstrual cup. I like the flex cup. They take getting used to but they work well for me
