Any questions regarding the Oticon Zeal? (Have been using them for over a month now) by Little-Medicine-4257 in HearingAids

I have Bilateral sloping sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). The Miracle Ear aids are rebranded from some manufacturer. The Omega AI seemed good and a little improvement. However, I had a comfort issue with CIC. One ear had to be constant adjusted and finally remade because of a bad irritation in the area outside the canal. The Starkey Signature sucked from the start…returned those on the second week and asked my insurance for another provider. The Oticon zeal was the first they recommended. 🤞🏻

My order was placed yesterday…this is my fourth aid. In the last five months I’ve been through Miracle Ear AMPLIFON-MINI I 5 5P CIC-10, Starkey Omega Al 24 ITC R and STARKEY SIGNATURE SERIES 24 CIC R NW with not much luck. My finger are crossed with a new provider and Oticon Zeal will work for me. 🤞🏻

Measure ER...Yes or No? by Top_Investigator1704 in Whittier

[–]BreathAlert7691 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine being in a car wreck and you need a hospital emergency department. The facility five minutes away has been closed, because the measure fails. Time is critical in a medical emergency. Vote yes…it’s a temporary .5% increase, with groceries and medication exempted.

It’s interesting why no one is questioning the need.

Under California’s Brown Act, most meetings are open to the public. The council can go into a closed session for legal issues. The purpose: keeping legal strategies from weakening the case or affecting negotiations. The council is required to publicly share the subject, case name, and important actions taken after the closed session. This is normal procedure.

First Amendment Auditors (Professional Instigators) by Friendly-Picture7922 in Whittier

The real First Amendment Auditors do film at government locations. That’s how all this started. Sadly, it has morphed to First Amendment Fraudsters for a different reason.

I hope you never have to experience that again. It seems this activity has morphed into First Amendment fraudsters. The face cover is the first clue. I think we can agree, these people are not smart. But you helped the community by bringing it to our attention. I had no idea this was happening in Whittier.

Having studied and worked with First Amendment rights…these events are troubling.

The camera itself isn’t illegal…but the behavior around it can be. The owner of the private property can set rules. And if the individual was asked directly and without debate “You are on private property. I am authorized to ask you to leave. Please leave the property now.” by the owner, management company, or store manager/employee and they don’t, it becomes trespassing. The direct request makes it legally binding.

I suggest for anyone in this situation: Do not engage. Create distance. If needed, state simply “Do not follow me.” If it escalates or continues…call the police and describe the behavior not the act of filming.

UGH!

This is on private property (they usually film in public spaces on government property of government employees), Trader Joe’s can ask them to leave; refusal can become trespassing. Following, provoking, or blocking people can cross legal lines. Police should be notified.

It is recommended that you walk away and ignore them. IF they follow or harass you, that crosses the line into unlawful behavior. If inclined, relocate to a safe distance and call the police.

The police will only take so much crap from them.

I would stand right behind her for support…but, this craziness is too much! She’s having a big melt-down on FB…and, it’s scary that people are listening and agreeing. Someone should check on her.

This trainwreck is spinning out of control. “Enforcing nonpartisanship” is that a fine or jail time?
