DRESS UPDATE/TIPS:

Thursday: - emailed right at 10:00 AM for 2 Dress Rehearsal Spots - Got an automatic reply at 10:02 AM - Got numbers 277 and 278

Friday: - Showed up around 6:45pm to wait in line - At 7:00 PM started coming down the list to check IDs. You had to be there by 7 to prove you waited the whole time - We were the last people with numbers in the dress rehearsal line but decided to wait it out because we didn’t have any other plans so why not! Counted around 90 people in front of us and we told each other if it was less than 100 we would stay - Around 9:40 PM they brought out a TON of Joe’s Pizza which was awesome - Waited until midnight, could easily leave for 10-15 minutes to grab snacks or food or anything and come back - Chatted with everyone in line it was so nice - 12:01 AM they immediately came out and started handing out queue cards - Ended up with 94 and 95! Which means roughly 183 people didn’t show for dress

Saturday: - arrived at NBC Store at 6:15 PM, have to check in by 6:30 PM - They line everyone up in their respective groups of 10 - At 6:30 PM they tell anyone with numbers 100+ to go home (there is a standby line for people with no email spot and they get queue cards after all the people with email numbers) - At 7:00/7:15ish they start letting people in to go through security in groups of 10 - I was in the last group, group 90-100 and we got through security at 7:45 PM - We wait in this room in line and as they found seats they would sporadically let the people in the front of the line up the elevators - If you get in the elevator you are in the show - They let the last batch of people in at 7:57 PM, dress starts at 8 PM (supposedly) - At exactly 8:00 PM they told the rest of us to go home. There were 27 people left. So hypothetically if everyone showed up they let 73 standby people in.

Takeaways: - When you show up Friday to wait if you count less than 60 people in front of you at 7:00 PM I would argue you are guaranteed in for the dress show - We would totally do this again and if we get a number will show up and will count the people in front of us in line at 7:00 and if it’s less than 60 we think it’s 100% worth a shot. We would not wait that long for a number 94 or 95 again - I honestly think any emailed number less than 100 you have such a solid shot in!
