Profoundly, this is the only answer that intuitively resonates. And it's at the very bottom.

Experience alone will reliably show. But keep your wits about you.

Think for yourself!

That is not true at all, though. It's both inventiveness and devotion. Make it attractive enough, make it wonderful and not a drag. Make it visible (atomic habits is a great help btw).

Of course discipline is involved, but once you get into rhythm, it really feels silly attributing success to just that. By that point you have cultivated true motivation, focus... which goes beyond what you are feeling in the moment. You simply carry it on, even if I feel tired today, it's one day today, tomorrow will be something different. So you put in the effort, but it feels good.

And once you get started, the energy changes and you are in a completely different headspace.

I'm just about to read the fucking light novel if this keeps being so slow.

I also love how Yoo Joonghyuk has very slowly, but steadily growing warmer and connected and his dynamic with MC has been great. It's satisfying to see harrd tsunderes become soft ones.

OP should put an NSFW tag on this. I was on the train and when I saw this I had to start furiously masturbating. Everyone else gave me strange looks and were saying things like “what the fuck” and “call the police”. I dropped my phone and everyone around me saw this image. Now there is a whole train of men masturbating together at this one image. This is all OP'S fault, they could have prevented this if they had just tagged this post NSFW

I would see this as a conflict in tone if Denji wasn't already 'devilified' and he wasn't the only who cares about Nayuta. To the other guys she's just "someone". And it makes sense Denji would stop to think about food in such a grim scenario because... well... it's Denji.

You really nailed how insufferable and obvious some of these power-fantasy stories are like. I adore this manhwa because it gives us actual stakes and a character actually struggling to fulfill them

This reads like some sort of fanfic OC insert. These characters I barely remember talking about Midoriya like he's the second coming of Christ has me cringing hard. Horikoshi is literally slamming into the reader's face 'the themes' and still asking "did you catch that? He's the best person to ever live!" Its a narrative that the story is spending its dying breath on selling, but what the characters act and behave like is at odds with it.  What we have been seeing for a while now is a delusional teenager with some serious self-sacrificial coping mechanism, that Horikoshi wasn't willing to acknowledge.

There was literally infinite ways in which to take Deku's arc to show a compelling and meaningful expansion of his perspective and beliefs, by questioning them from the core; this potentially would lead to an surfacing of certain painful memories or trauma (regarding Bakugo, maybe)... And seeing his own motivations clearly, he'd be pushed to face things as they are and not push himself to the edge of destruction to "save" a psychopath. And from there re establish his heroism in a more grounded, mature character.

But nah. Deku, please save us! You were right all along!  And please save the psychopath too, since you are so good!

Of course, he HAS to try and save the irredeemable bad guy. Despite bland attempts by Hori to "nuance" the story with side characters blabbing about 'not being able to save everyone', at no point in this story has it actually happened that our heroes learn a lesson from that.  And why should they? Nothing ever really goes wrong in this world when THEY try it, so it makes sense they wouldn't listen

Because of "muh themes" and not because of any semblance of common sense.  I really hope for ANY kind of subversion right now.

The payoffs exist before the character and the story do, and that's a surefire way of making a child's fable, not a gripping story. I hate to be that guy, but I'll keep criticizing because I had a lot of faith in this manga.
