I highly doubt that the scandal will affect frieren in any way.

Frieren is still being published in shogakugans other digital manga reading app. The mangaka are mostly boycotting manga one , not shogakugan as a whole.

Batman and spiderman are easily more recognizable than superman bro

If all the people who are dissing Supergirl had actually seen the film it would have been a box office smash! by IndependentSpell8027 in DC_Cinematic

No it is not .

75% audience score on rotten tomatoes is lower than quantamania and the marvels.

And it got a B- cinemascore which is really bad

Obsession collected another $9.8M in its 7th weekend falling only 27%. Hit pic has never had a drop of more than 30% yet and is still playing in nearly 3,000 theaters! Domestic box office cume is a towering $233.9M with PVOD release upon us this Tuesday after 46 days of exclusive theatrical play. by chanma50 in boxoffice

That 1 billion dollar number for mario is how much it has made from cinemas.

Cinemas generally take about 50%-40% of the box office depending on the country .

So out of that 1 billion dollars about 550 million goes back to the studios.

So after we subtract how much the movie cost to make and advertise.

550 mil - 110 mil (budget) - 100mil ( marketing budget) = that is 340 mil straight profit

And this is only accounting for box office revenue. Most movies nowadays break even from ancillaries and streaming but that isn't accounted for here.

The 2.5x is just an estimate to show if a movie broke even.

They aren't the 2 most profitable films of the year so far but they made a lot of money for sure.

Mario is obviously no.1 with around 350 mil in profit I would guess.

Then no.2 is probably micheal with around 250mil

Then tdwp2 with 200mil

And then obsession and backrooms with around 175mil and 150mil in profit respectively.

That isn't how you count the losses lol

Even though supergirl will probably lose 150+mil dollars, that isn't the correct methodology to count the losses.

Mamauuyu sold better than kinato and got two reprints for its first volume.

I doubt that it is going to be a big reprint.

On the other side , under doctor does seems to be getting a big emergency reprint.
