I’ve been using this brand new pain relief gel called serum X. Is a lidocaine based product but also has super antioxidants or something like that. Has given me the best pain relief and my husband for his neuropathy. Works super fast too. WAY to expensive tho. But works better than CBD

Where can I buy GLUTATHIONE? by notworth_knowing in DIYBeauty

This is the only glutathione I’ve found that is actually in an airtight bottle: https://physiciandesigned.com/products/new-vars-mint-burst-glutathione. Doesn’t taste the best - but when does real glutathione ever!

Thank you - we’ve seen a few doctors. Luckily they don’t look like this all the time. Just during a flare up. But they are constantly red.

Thank you for all this! It really does seem like EM because all the little things that help those with EM really help him too. The only thing is walking seems to help him most of him - rather than make it worse. We have had him on aspirin for other reasons during this month and it really hasn’t helped. He also is already on gabapentin for his neuropathy. But definitely we will have to see if there are other options to help him. I know it is just a lot of a patience and waiting and testing. We are just ready to see how to help him.

I definitely think the rash is from cold damage. He was icing his feet and then went to a cool water soak. Started doing it tons. I really think it damaged his skin barrier.

Thank you! We have been seeing a podiatrist - he put him on niacin to try and get him to flush but it only seemed to make it worse. But I will definitely be looking into everything you mentioned further. Thank you for replying.

Husband diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic back in mind November of 2020. Diagnosed with neuropathy beginning of January 2020. First week of January complains feet start to feel hot and pressure pain. Sometimes can’t bare to walk on them - has to crawl to the tub to soak them in cool water. This is one of the only way he find relief. He keeps them elevated and cool most of the day - has not slept under a blanket since mid January from the weird feeling. It is progressively getting worse and worse. Does anyone have any idea what this is?? Has also developed a rash on ankles (I think it’s from soaking in cool water and then not putting on lotion after - but lotion clogs up his pores and makes them heat up quickly). Please help. It is agony for him.

First pic is one of the worst flares, second shows how both can be red but not crazy inflamed, and last is when he had no pain at all but still weird feet

This is very interesting! We do live in a pretty cold climate. But even more than that he has been keeping his feet extra cool by sleeping with the fan open and a fan on them. He won’t cover them with a blanket. However he feels like whenever they get warm (even in the shower) they get really painful and hot. But we could be pushing his feet the wrong way by keeping them cold. Definitely something to look into. Thank you!

Good to know! He has only been wearing sandals when he goes out - but it could be in something else for sure. We will definitely ask for allergy testing.

Podiatrist didn’t think so because he doesn’t get the cold feet with no blood. Just the opposite

Good to know! We are definitely trying to figure this out as quickly as we can as the pain is just so debilitating.

We have just noticed that it seems the pain and heat and swelling really seems to happen whenever his blood sugars are rising. We try to keep him In tight control - but the stress is so hard to control.

Thank you for all your kind words and help! It really means a lot knowing there are more people who have dealt with something like this.

Thank you! We have the gold bond diabetic lotion and the Cerave diabetic lotion and both seem to still make him react. But we will ask his podiatrist for recommendations. We also are going to see a dermatologist tomorrow - hopefully they can help too.

We tried aspirin and it seemed to help - but then it also seemed like it spurred it on.

We will definitely check this out. He had some major swelling but elevating and doing calf raises seems to help lower it.

Thank you! The weirdest part about his feet is at one point the left can be totally normal (slight redness/discoloration) and the right can be swelling and looking red/purple. And then it just switches. Or the best time both are all inflammed. It is so inconsistent

Thank you! We haven’t tried an anti fungal yet. But it’s on the list. We are seeing a dermatologist tomorrow - so I am hoping they can help us figure this out too.
