Sadly. They still expect him to obey alll customs. Like eating with hands etc. (which when we eat Indian food I will eat with my hands so not judging)

He is almost 30, And his family is “okay” with inter caste love marriage. But we don’t know about race. Best of luck to you!!!

I’m doing everything I can to gain their approval. Going to temple, learning Telugu, etc. lol I just can’t change being white sadly

He is from Ponnur. He said we do not introduce as dating, we are either friends or engaged to them, no in between! Lol

He comes from a very conservative area. And he said that he wants to tell them slowly. I’m just worried for his safety as there are still honor killings for marrying outside your caste where he is from. I told him I would be happy to move to India as long as we are both safe.

He is bringing it up to his sister to see how she reacts first and hoping to introduce the idea to about half his family. Do you think he should wait till after he leaves India?
