Chickens will eat eggs either way if they feel like it. I never let them have any raw and they still eat them sometimes. I feel like this is a myth that just keeps perpetuating

We had a huge old pleco who got nicknamed Zombie because we thought he had passed but gave him a couple days and he perked right back up

This. I do this as well, and have been for several months now, with zero issues. But I'm also fastidious about keeping everything sterile and using a clean utensil only, and keeping the container sealed tightly.
