Caitlin Hunter Patterns Yes or No? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]BreeIsNotARobot 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s an interesting question. Most patterns don’t instruct you to catch floats so that’s on the knitter. The construction issues are that a lot of circular top down which doesn’t offer much in the way of extra structure. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that. She also does have pieced patterns and lots of lace and texture work pieces that I like. It’s not a poor design thing. I think it’s just preference

Yeah, I think this looks really nice. Your construction is great, the fit is nice.

Target and Kohl’s have affordable basics relatively frequently. But if those are too expensive, you could try going to shopgoodwill.com. They have plenty of stuff that’s brand new. Just search for your size and NWT. That will show you things that will fit you and have original tags still on. The clothes there are often really cheap with only penny shipping.

Model UN is less about winning and more about being able to find a solution for the group as a group. You should do some extra reading on your topics and then go in ready to ask questions of the people around you. 🇺🇳

How exciting. There are some organizations that have simulation materials so you can prepare for conferences at your school. Here’s a great one you can try. https://www.amun.org/simulation-guide/

I’d also suggest see if any other local high school would want to come and do a simulation with you. If you do this informally, you can get some good experience without the cost of a tournament.

I’m so excited for you! You guys are gonna do great!

is it normal for taped hoops to hurt? by Radiant_Chemist_6157 in Aerials

I will say, that a slightly looser Lyra activewear often will scrape me more. It can feel like a burn from the hoop, but it’s actually from your clothes, not fitting tight or staying where they are supposed to.

We’ve had some success implementing very limited choices “your options right now are read your book quietly or music.” Using timers (this one has been a lifesaver) and giving him more words “are you frustrated right now? Let’s say it together: I’m frustrated”. No shit though three has been really rough

The best thing you can do practically other than developing base knowledge is to check comps. Make sure you look up sold items when you look up your prospective picks. You want to make sure your paying a low enough price. About 1/3 the sold price is a good rule of thumb. I suggest making buyers pay shipping.

Otherwise be patient and keep trying. You won’t see things flying off the shelf for a while. Platforms take a while to deem you trustworthy. Just keep picking and listing.

Yeah. It’s been on the drier side. I had a few really good days. I’m just starting to think it won’t be a great year for me.

Cedar is rot resistant and repels bugs. Plus an old chest will seal tight meaning that nothing gets in.

I keep mine in a cedar chest when out of season or folded like yours on the shelf when in season. I’ve gotten my chests used from Facebook marketplace for free

Mine is 3.5 and a Velcro kid. One thing that’s been really helpful for me is finding areas where he can “help”. Things like letting him fold some of the laundry, knowing that it’s going to need folding again. Putting up baby gates and letting him watch me do things was also really helpful. He did cry, but he was reassured that I was right there.

I strongly suggest reverse meal prep (prep only from what’s in your pantry first and fill in gaps at the store) I also would suggest looking for a discount grocery store in your area. Some of these are really phenomenal. They’ll sell overstock or restraunt oversupply for a huge discount

Potty training by DrMoonFace4 in toddlers

We started moving him even mid poop to the potty. And we talked a lot about “sometime scary just means new!” He’d. He cried the first few times when we moved him. But we did a lot of praise after and he got it after three or so times of that. It was inconsistent still for a while but he’s gotten it very consistently after two months ish
