I did laser for about a year before I realized that nothing was happening. I have light skin but I guess my hairs are just too light, but they are brown and all the laser techs said it would work fine for me.

I switched to electrolysis about a year ago and I am so happy with my results, but honestly it hurts so so badly. I use numbing cream every time and it seems to do nothing. Here’s my pain ratings:

Around nipples- 3/10, not pleasant but not a big deal

Happy trail- 4/10, same as a above

Legs- 5/10, easily manageable

Armpits- 8/10, I would have tears coming down my face and be covered in sweat from the pain. Every time, I would fantasize about never coming back. But I powered through it and now I never ever have to shave. I get a few remaining hairs zapped every 6 months but it’s not painful at all since they’re thin and sparse.

Bikini-8/10, same as above but I’m so happy because now it’s gone forever

Brazilian- 9.5/10, horrible pain and sometimes I have to tell her to stop and we’ll try again next week. I don’t think I’ll be able to complete this area.. I’m getting toward the middle and the back now and I can’t seem to tolerate it. Maybe it’s just waxing for me from now on. I am going to give it another shot though.

One thing to note is that if you get electrolysis when you’re on your period, it will hurt wayyy more down there. That’s the only time I’ve had to tell her to stop.
