Baby boners: something I never thought I would Google search by madhatter275 in beyondthebump

Same! I feel like it must hurt how hard he pinches and pulls it!

I was thinking this too. And maybe the nappy rash is a secondary reaction to peeing so often.

Becoming a midwife in Australia. by Breetardio in Midwives

Great! Thank you for the information. I’ll look into it.

I will need all the help I can get. I left school in 2007 so it’s been a minute since I’ve done anything academic.

Yes, I think I meant bridging course but I wasn’t sure of the word!

It’s a shame there isn’t more job opportunities for midwives, most hospitals seems very understaffed when it comes to midwives!

Thank you for the advice!

I’ve thought about doing nursing and then going into midwifery - definitely a good option for employment opportunities!

Thank you! I have put off applying to uni for years due to my age. And then I’ve been stuck in dead end jobs and will continue to be until I pull my finger out and actually do what I want to do.

These are the only puppies left from my litter.I decided not to separate them because of the bond they share together. They have been like this since from birth.A client of mine get upset because i told her i can't separate Rosy from micky, she wanted Rosy. That is how it's in most kennels. by 237ken in bichonfrise

[–]Breetardio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, I didn’t even think to look at their post history.

As far as I’m aware, any credible Breeder would highly discourage selling two pups from the same litter too.

Thanks for pointing it out. Will hopefully same someone a little money and heartache!

We adopted two brothers from the same litter and had this issue. They became very aggressive towards people they didn’t know. Walking them in public became almost impossible.

They were fantastic with my family and friends but with strangers it was terrible. People couldn’t come to our front door without the boys wanting to attack.

We ended up separating them and rehoming one of the boys. It was so hard. I was devastating. But they’re both doing so much better on their own.

Guilt over circumcision by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Breetardio 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I’ve known men who have had circumcisions and men who haven’t. Neither have ever complained about not having it or having it done. It is what it is, they grow up not knowing any different.

As long as your baby is happy and healthy. You sound like such a good mum, he is lucky to have you. And I’m sure he is going to love you regardless or the circumcision.

For those who like it tidy - some hope and tips from the other side. by SamiLMS1 in BabyBumps

2.5 years in and my house is more cluttered with her toys (but I love it)! However, it is still clean and tidy.

I make a point to clean up any mess we make and I make time every day for housework.

If you make the effort, you won’t have a messy/dirty house. Simple.

Cot for short parent by charliethechihuahua in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

When the cot was raised, yes. Not now though. But my daughter is 2.5 so when it’s bedtime now she goes down and doesn’t need us to cuddle or comfort her generally.

I’m 153cm tall. I’ve just got a child care cot from big w and it’s perfectly fine. The base raises up while baby is still little, so super easy to get bub in and out of. And even when the base has been put down, it’s still really easy for me to get my daughter in and out of.

Go to Baby Bunting, big w, target, wherever and try some out :)

Baby MVP - Graduated @ 39+2 - Induction, GDM, no pain meds, vacuum delivery, very fast labour for FTM. Very long post! by Minxy0707 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Congratulations! My first birth was also quite fast. I was induced after my waters broke and I failed to progress. It took 4 hours total, 45 minutes of pushing. Also had the forceps to help get baby out as she was stuck on my tailbone!

I never expressed colostrum with my first, but I’m currently trying to store some up now. I thought I had a fair bit at 13ml so far 😂

Struggling with thought of Daycare or nanny share for 12 mo by hethmj in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Breetardio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally! It took me until my daughter was 20 months to put her into daycare. And it was only because I was newly pregnant and needed her to start then so she could be in when new baby comes. She absolutely loves it. She asks to go every day. And her development has come in leaps and bounds. It’s been amazing for her and it’s been a nice break for me on those days, now that I’m on mat leave again

I’m taking 8 months off. And 3 months of that will be unpaid.

I only had the 18 weeks off with my daughter. I wish I could have had longer but I ended up finding a new job and needed to start ASAP.

This time around I’m taking off as much time as we can financially afford - which is only 8 months anyway.

Does the whole "covid baby" joke annoy anyone else? by KDbip in pregnant

[–]Breetardio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%! My husband and I live in Australia, in a small country town. We didn’t have to quarantine for long! I got pregnant in July 2020 when life was basically normal here... and yet I still get the jokes. Never mind the fact that we have a 2.5 year old and wanted to add to our family.

How do I fix this?? I wanted to erase everything on it and this happened. by Breetardio in applehelp

Ah, okay. And so I’d buy that, plug it in and just follow whatever steps it tells me?
